The original game gave you the option to turn off the villager voices, their default voices were called animalese and you could either turn that off or change it to bebes which was just like a rapid tapping kind of sound.

when my mom would write letters to me on our copy of animal crossing, we would usually be in the same room, so she would turn the voices off and have me hide my eyes so i wouldn't know what she was writing to me and it would be a surprise when i got to play

Resetti does have a new job in New Horizons, he's the helicopter guy who rescues you if you get stuck while using the teraforming tool

Despite the last entry on the bulletin board being 2006, I cackled like a maniac when I saw it had been 234 months since the last time they played. Something about it being in months made it so much funnier. Also does that mean they played for three years but never talked to the chicken? That poor cluck...

Remembering how the villagers would make me mad by painting my roof pink without my consent. Chow was famous for doing that in my first town. He’s been there all along and last I checked he painted my roof pink again. It’s meant to be green! I am so glad they got rid of that “feature.”

Ever since I started watching your videos where you go through old save files, I wish I had mine! Animal Crossing GC was my first Animal Crossing. The newer games are fun but there is just something special about the original. It's got so much character!

The sound thing isn't a glitch, it's a setting. I think you had 3 options for villager voices. I know one was "animalese" and one was to turn them off. This save must have turned them off. Edit: I see you found it.

I love Mr Resetti so much as well! He does appear in New Horizons. You can sometimes catch him in the café. But I know what you mean! I think Resetti's new job should be to lecture those who time travel. ;D

Oh yeah, villagers painting the roof happened to me quite often. I'd always tell them it was lame because i always changed the color of mine myself because i love colors and could never just settle for one.

I love your channel since you actually played Animal crossing since it's roots. 🥺 the GameCube and animal crossing was the first system and game I ever got as a kid and me and my few friends played all of them RELIGIOUSLY. Most people had no idea what is was until the switch. It makes me sad that there's so many people who only make animal crossing content and have never played any of the original games. Love these videos 💕

You can edit the sound of the animals. They can either be animalese, silent or speak kinda like a vocal Morse code sound lol
