Divine sunderer still heals you based on nominal value instead of actual damage done, which is different from almost all life steal/omnivamp, and that alone makes tank unplayable because any bruiser no matter how bad they synergise with divine sunderer would just beat the shit out of you without even a scratch. Yet riot refuses to fix this stupid mechanism that lets you life steal from literally thin air and completely destroyed the balance and diversity of toplane.

Time to educate about Divine Sunderer: - The heal is calculated of your max hp, not the actual damage. (65% of 12% of your max hp = 7,8%) - The heal is calculated before taking into account if the target has bramble or not. So if a bramble user get's hit by a divine sunderer attack, the heal is calculated, applied and then the grevious wound is applied to the attacker. This is the opposite of lifesteal, that is calculated after the bramble applied the grevious wound. So it is even more broken then you might think, please complain more because at the moment every divine sunderer user counters Sion. I think even a Soraka can beat Sion if she builds divine sunderer.

The funny thing is, its not even the champ that is broken, it’s the item. I’m pretty much fine with everything they put into place, maybe something like Drakhaars or goredrinker are broken, but that is nothing compared to DS. Not enough that it deals 12% max health dmg and Heals you for 7.8% of the enemy’s max health, That Healing is PRE-MITIGATION. So even if you have Thornmail or brambles, grievous wounds will be applied after the Healing is done. Not even other Items specifically for Lifesteal do that, not even GOREDRINKER DOES THAT. AND THIS ITEM WAS DESIGNED TO HEAL YOU. What just angers me the most is, why put this on an Item? If you put those values on a champion-passive or Ability, i wouldn’t bat an eye, its locked to that champ. But with it being on an Item, you can give that shit to everyone. So yeah, nerf this creature and were good (at least until Axiom Arc and that new Mage Item come out).

i use divine sunderer on jax, and even i can agree its such a busted shit item, goredrinker isnt even close to the amount of bullshit it does. goredrinker got its spite passive removed and now its completely shit but divine sunderer can heal that much and let you deal that much damage. its so unfun to build too, triforce is much more fun on jax
