Can't believe this just happened and I found some matches. BF5 also managed to break its record player numbers on Steam today, over 100K players!

The sound design, the graphics, the TTK, the fire ring, and the color grading are all nailed to perfection. It's a shame that it was behind a paywall. It literally had the biggest potential in the battle royale sphere.

Best looking map in gaming for sure. The atmosphere especially was amazing, gave a real survival feeling

the thing about firestorm i love is the storm, its the most unique storm in a battle royale game, also with the armor plates they were so unique

It's a shame they just abandoned this mode the way they did. I remember having so much fun dropping in. The final circle could get intense. Beautiful map. Awesome destruction. Incredible atmosphere. And that ring of fire was just awesome.

I loved Firestorm so much man... I was so sad when I couldn't find just normal lobbies when it died.

I remember nobody really cared about the game mode resulting in low player count when the game released, but I always thought it was a pretty fun addition to the series, and a nice take on a battle royale with that battlefield flair

Still the best gunplay and movement mechanics I have ever experienced. MW3 and 2042 cannot even get close.

I haven’t thought about Firestorm for years. That game mode was so dead when I played BFV.

I did NOT think we would be talking about Battlefield V at all in 2023 let alone FIRESTORM!

Awesome to see this Jack, I thought the mode was turned off and had never tried playing it. Will be installing BF V just to go run around on this (not caring about winning). The V1 / sound (descriptions of the noise in literature and everyone clenching up after the engine noise stopped till the impending explosion) was amazing, a legit big bomb from the era. The idea of bringing this map into 2042 as a BF V era game is perfect. I'd like to see the mode, but just the map would be great. Thanks for this Jack. Dice has huge player numbers and the graphics look great...what to do....think they should do a remastered BF 1 and BF V so the console gameplay is brought up to current capabilities along with their anti-cheat from 2042 being integrated. Alot less work than a full on game development. As you said Firestorm should get some special attention as its superb in so many ways.

I loved the idea of firestorm. Battlefield + battle royale just sounds like an amazing experience. Hope they do go come back with a surprise firestorm 2.0 🤞🤞

actually firestorm would make total sense in 2042, as theres a lot of mentions of massive fires sweeping Europe. I feel like this could port well as a concept, and maybe even the map even though its dated.

Honestly I think if Dice decided to revive this in 2042 it would bring in a lot of players.

Man, watching you play this actually got me wanting to jump back in to see how it holds up. I loved BFV and honestly really enjoyed Firestorm. It truly is such a beautiful map. I would have loved to hear more about the lore. From a concept point, Firestorm in 2042 would have made sense with all the crazy weather events in that world. I know they didn't have time to build that, but it would have been interesting to see how they would have approached that.

This was the only battleroyal i ever played where no matter what loot i got i always felt competitive.

It was the best BR ever with so much potential. If they would have supported it and made it free to play this game could have been, what Warzone is now. Shame that EA and even the battlefield community didn’t saw, how good this mode was.

Love these videos lately! The past few weeks I've been ill and needed some nostalgia to help me through, so have rewatched all Jack's old various BF videos,(especially enjoying BF1 an V). Its so nice having this catalogue Jack has crafted over the years, with the differnt youtubers for Squad or TAG on Dayz etc. So the past few uploads feel like a real time nostalgia injection, its helped me alot.

Man that is still the best game on planet Earth..smooth play and the best engine to play..Me and like 50 players on discord have more than 3500 hours of play form 2018.. 70% the most in firestorm..Very nice to you do that clip..and Nixailer and Voncoval also my friends🥰..see you in firestorm

So much potential, think the market was just so saturated with battle royals at the time it never got the traction it deserved. You need to try some Post Scriptum next you’d have a blast with that one😎

It is soo good to get back to this game. I have 620h played in BFV and enjoyed every minute of it.

Be interesting to see how this would have done if it got released during lockdown.. certainly had the building blocks!

This is the best Battle Royale I played so far, it's such a shame no one plays it. I think it would get pretty popular again if they would make it free to play, I really hope it will still happen soon.

I used to be the absolute champ at this game. Pink Bren is easily the best gun in the game. Hanson farms was an amazing spot to land and loot too ! Nostalgia !

This took me back, played a bunch back when it was just out, managed about 25 solo wins, good times (except dying 1000 times to bush or building campers)

I used to love Firestorm… very underrated! Could never find a full game even when BF5 was going strong!

There is a rumour that they are working on a br/ extraction mode imagine instead of a circle closing in it was levoultion events like an earthquake , tsunami etc closing parts of the map down pushing you towards a final extraction that you have to capture and hold and fight over , I also think classes would work in a br like the medic can be the only one to bring you back to life with the defibrillator, instead of what they did in hazard zone and made like cod where you buy someone back in and they just fall from the sky which wasn’t good

I totally agree with you jack, battlefield would be one of the best battle royale games out there if it was a thing, with the destruction, the vehicles, and the insane looking maps, with enough players and support games like this could be insane

Firestorm gameplay itself is still my best ever experience of a battle royale. Destructive environments really make the difference in a BR.

The problem with Firestorm is that they have it in some weird menu, so a lot of new people don't even knows it exists! It needs to be on the front page of multiplayer!

You need to rally all the KZfaq creators and streamers and do a 7 day hell week where everyone plays different titles 7 days in a row. Set it up so all the viewers can get in and play. Even get the game creators on board so they can do flash sales on the games for the people hat don’t have them. Would be pretty cool.

You bring a lot of joy when switching to old BF like BF1 and 5 , man these games will always be in my heart, i wish the devs actually take firestorm out as a standalone BR and develop it but this time makes it free to play for people instead when they introduced it , it will be sick as it always !
