This is day 153 of my journey to get to a rating of 2000 on chess.com.
In this game we against the ole ENGLUND gambit...
I think this is good to face it again, because now I know, I'm done with this gambit and its time to learn how to solidly refute it!

Been on a losing streak lately so I know the feeling. Weird how one day you can feel like you know what you're doing then the next day you feel like a complete noob. It's a lot like golf in that respect.

aman from chessbrah showed a line against Enlund which i have had good success with not that i see it very often. you take the pawn but the key is not to try to hold on to it and just develop normally getting your pawn out to E4. if i find the line i will get it to you but it is in his building habits series if you want to search yourself

@@Blunder_Man d4 e5 dxe5 nc6 nf3 qe7 bf4 qb4 check bd2 qxb2 nf3 bb4 rb1 qa3 rb3 qa5 e4 bxf3 rxf3 qa2 is the most played line, but the last 3 moves aren't high level. hope this helps!

What I like to do against the englund is I play Bf4 like you did and after Qb4+ you play Bd2 and after Qxb2 Nc3 Bb4 you go Nb5 attacking the queen on a3 and the fork on c7 and if they then try Qa5 Bxb4 Nxb4 you sack the rook with Rxb4 and after Qxb4 and Nxc7+ you're winning if I'm not mistaken (I didn't check with an egine) Btw I would recommend to give the Vienna with White a shot, I play it and I have a very high win rate, cause so many people don't know what to do against the Vienna Gambit

@@gravitraxrocker because I hate playing against the sicilian, and 80% of the time when I play kings pawn I play against c5, instead of the desired e5

Yeah I think I'll be doing that in the future against the Englund, but idk, I don't like not taking the pawn because it is free and I just need to know the correct moves after the gambit to refute it
