Wow! What a moment. To be able to play in front of your idols. Oasis inspired me to pick up a guitar as a teen as well. Although he considers himself a songwriter first and a guitarist second, and may not be as skilled as say Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix and Van Halen etc. but Noel Gallagher is definitely a bonafide Guitar Hero. Not Definitely Maybe. But Definitely! 😎

@@tonyh8965yep this is true. people always say “oh jimmy page is sloppy” or “noel gallagher doesn’t use that many chords” but it’s about how it makes YOU feel and it’s about the lasting legacy of the music

@@justgavin_I had a conversation with a mate about lyrics only 15 minutes ago where I stated that with music, it ultimately comes down to your emotional reaction to it… how it makes you FEEL. Then I stumbled across your comment. 👌🏻 Noel is no virtuoso, but he shows that you don’t need to be to be a music legend. We should all be grateful that he is all about the songs than being another cheesy stunt guitarist with shit material! 😂

@user-gj6rl7po9qАй бұрын
So why did that b string sound like that. Is that the dudes voice or the guitar. I’m 2 years in and I need my guitar to moan for me like his. For real how is he getting that sound????
@calamityjames5323Ай бұрын
@user-gj6rl7po9q My guess is to use light strings, tune the guitar a semitone down, and put some muscle into the bend. This is one of the few songs that's in a microtonal tuning, so it could have something to so with that. You can get this effect by bending the strings just past the nut and behind the tuning pegs. I would advise doing that though as I snapped a string on my first attempt lol.
@TheSpartan_G26 күн бұрын
@@calamityjames5323 It's a lot more simple than all of that. This guitar just has a B-Bender in it. This song isn't in a microtonal tuning either. The album version of the song is slightly in between C and C#, but that's not what "microtonal tuning" means. It's still in a standard tuning, the entire master recording is just slightly too sharp or flat compared to the key it was recorded/tuned in (i.e. likely a product of manipulating the tape speed rather than the tuning of the actual instruments during recording).
@calamityjames532311 күн бұрын
