Instead of hording all your books until you get back. Bring a nerdy outfit with you, you'll end up saving space in the end. The Nerdy helmet is the one that gives the XP boost, the nerdy outfit is the extra book skill chance bonus

I love how Josh has such faith in the assassin armor that he's trying to sneak with zero points into stealth. At least he's consistent!

Putting points in the armor skills no longer boosts chance to find armor books. They're now tied to putting points in base abilities so that all builds get equal access to the new armor and not just strength and agility.

Horde night in fact doesn't last all night. I thought it did as well on my first night, but since then, and after some improvements to my base, I have finished the horde early on the next 4 nights. For me, it was a matter of efficiency. My nights are longer as well (120 min day). So that also makes a difference.

Rekt used to be a country preacher and loving father of 6, who ran a farm on the side to feed orphans until the apocalypse hit and his oldest daughter was killed in the bombing while she was away at college. His faith stayed strong and he kept trying to be a good man and father but then his house was destroyed during a blood moon and then the raiders showed up. They came under the guise of wanting to help, but when his guard was down, they murdered his wife, 5 remaining children and stole everything he owned. Rekt and his dog Bingo escaped with their lives and a few months later, Bingo was bit by a zombie bear. With nothing left to live for, he became a trader and decided to run his mouth to anyone he comes across, hoping to anger them so they will end his misery and reunite him with his family!

Great horde night. I use various versions of your horde bases all the time. I using the one in JaWoodle Park with the stairs going up to the cage. perfect for melee. Just did day 14. Worked out great

I also had the zombies digging under the base during horde nights at that POI. Never did figure out why. I think maybe it's just broken.

It's not a guaranteed to last all horde night thing, people do finish sometimes still. It's like this, for example, for gamestages 49-53 (at 54 there's a new gamestage stage="54"): There's 3 waves, and then there's an extra wave that's the same as the third one, only with 200 zambies. If your kill rate is high enough you'll get through it. People do. They are like that up to wave stage 103 with 200 zambies in it an extra stage. Then after that there's just three waves, like: You can check it in your xml in ...steam/steamapps/common/7 Days To Die/Data/Config in the gamestages.xml file. The spawn groups are in the same directory in entitygroups.xml

its way more efficient to bring nerd chestpiece with you or to keep it in your bike. that way you waste only 1 slot of space. also hordes dont last whole night; I expedite my hordes before 2am. once youre though all set waves = no more zombies. You can't slow them down tho. You wont notice it because your zombies quantity and flow is very low and slow.

I'm pretty impressed with how well that little hollow at the bottom of the stairs works to cluster them up a bit. Later stages perhaps it won't be as effective since zombs will be faster/stronger but for right now it's doing more than I actually thought it would. Especially with the small change in this episode.

I feel like if I keep getting crafting mags from higher level quests then they should come with more than the 6 mags… like make the level one start with 1 of each then level 2 comes with 2 of each then 3 comes with a 4th set of mags and level 4 comes with 3 per set of mags and level 5 comes with 5 sets of mags with 3 per and level 6 comes with 4 of each set. Make it worth while

Nerd hat +XP, drink learning as the horde gong rings to maximise time, my go to is 3 learning elixirs 3 recogs for a viagra that lasts all night long (they stack in time)

I bring my Nerdy chestpiece with me during raids. Put it on and read, swap to raiding gear. Keeps inventory clean. :)

Been pondering the armour system, and I'm wondering if the 'class' part of the armour could be a mod instead, which scales based on tier of armour piece it's put into. Could also mod armour appearance the way the hat mods used to. I'm guessing part of the change was to save item id's though, hence clothing getting binned. Loving the Dr Doom look though.

think it is the bucket, zombies are trying to get to your level and you have them going up and then down, and the down is not the way they want to go, they want to go up

I think they've turned down the blast radius on the Pipe Bombs and Grenades. I noticed that their stat blocks are showing a radius of 1.5 and if memory serves Pipe Bombs used to have a 4 block radius.

3:40 I actually accidentally reset the POI my hordebase was touching. I thought I had the stair path up far enough from the driveway, but ended up having to rebuild about 7 stairs and their supports.

Don't scrap farmer boots/headgear/outfit. I normally grow a plot of supercorn as a cash crop, a full stack of 125 is 6K at the traders with full better barter, 9K with grandpa's awesome sauce, sugar butts, cigar, magnum and 20% barter headgear

Rye nerd outfit is only for reading magazines, it doesn't benefit you in xp gain in anyway, the only thing that increases your xp gain is the nerd hat, or that xp mod.

Description says armor book drops are based on attribute points, not the armor skills. I think you're good just getting your attributes up.

Maybe on horde night have like 20 iron spikes in your inventory. And the 1 block closest to you on the zombie path place 1 spike. Every time it breaks replace it. Idk if it's worth though

There isn't much difference between wood spikes and iron. Use whichever is easier for you to gather. Honestly I think the barbed wire is better because most of what you want is for the zombies to stop moving so you can shoot them in the head.

Just sacrifice the 1 inventory space and keep the nerd outfit on your persons. You and Guns, nerds and steel are both wasting so much inventory carrying around 3-4 slots worth of books and reading them "later".

I know you play permadeath, but if you put a bedroll in the place where you are camping out, it will stop you from resetting the POI. Call it an anti-muppet device.

Just something to think about. All XP gets you now is higher game stage, which means stronger zombies, but your ability to fight them is locked behind your crafting ability. So pushing levels is not a great idea any more.

Hasn’t been for a while… slows down the game and forces you into a certain style of playing. Book stores are one of the only ways to catch up quickly when it comes to crafting mags. I think the unfun pimps need to add a way to find specific POIs besides random quests so players can have an easier time progressing at the pace they want to do it. They lock traders to biomes (big mistake but whatever) so make a “recon quest” where you raid a town hall and get information on that biomes POIs.

Given your agility build (and propensity for muppetry) you really should consider switching to flaming/exploding arrows. Much easier to provide consistent placement of Boom Boom.

Josh for Horde Night. Your first horde night. The walls were completely intact, so they zombies were clustered together, and you used the wall. 2nd of all, when you were using the base, you had all the doors closed on the 2nd floor. This horde night, all the doors were opened. Easier access in their pathing even though their wasn't a way to get to you.

My friend and I broke into the video store and police hq on day 1 and made it our base. If we take a quest that takes us to the location and start it, will it delete and despawn our stuff?

Yes. However if you have a claim block or bedroll that POI gets removed from the available list.

How many videos did you do in advance? 1.0 Experimental b312 came out a week ago and you're still on b309. The latest build adds more hair colours along with bug fixes and such.
