In this video I use the Tadano 180g-5 to re-rail three 50,000+ pound rail cars. We unloaded these cars several months ago. They were involved in a train derailment. The cars are at a railroad car rebuild facility. They will get rebuilt and put back into service.
The three cameras that I am using are:
DJI Osmo Pocket
GoPro Hero 5
GoPro Hero 5 session

Really surprised they called you instead of an actual derailment company. Mobile cranes are typically not very good for rerailing operations. I state this as a 21 year carman who has cleaned up dozens upon dozens of derailments. Also those are improper places to be lifting a railcar. There are specific spots on the sides engineered for putting hooks and supporting the car properly.
@ToTheTopCrane
@ToTheTopCrane 4 жыл бұрын
We are located just a few mile from this facility. We also do 90% of their crane work. Given our proximity, we finished the job faster than a recovery company could get there. As far as the pick points....some of the pick points or the structure around them was badly damaged. Since the cars are getting rebuilt, cutting holes at the top wasn't an issue. Many thanks for watching! 🙂

30 fps wasn't quite enough when I sped the footage up 8000%. Lol. Many thanks for watching! 🙂

I’m at 15:25 and reading the comments has me on pins and needles lol when is it going to drop?!!! Tell you what you missed an opportunity! You could have done a click bait like all those big KZfaqrs! Some day when you only operate to get more video content but make your real money as a inter web star!

What kind of clickbait and opportunity? I can always make another video from the footage. 🤔

To The Top Crane was mostly joking... but some other guys i have been watching for years like wrangler Star now post videos with a crazy title like “it’s destroyed!!!” Then it turns out to be nothing lol you could say “it fell!!” And we would all think it was the car when it’s just the go pro lol. But on a serious note. What video editing software do you use. Be cool if you had a second channel to throw up unedited footage or off topic videos. But i can only imagine how much time you already spend on this. Keep up the great work. Your inspiring.

I have been using Hitfilm Express 13 recently. I was using Adobe premier elements 2018. But, I didn't feel like it offered enough. Maybe I just didn't know how to use it. Lol

Some have said that they liked the music. My apologies if you didn't care for it. It's really difficult to create videos that appeal to everyone. But, I'm trying. Thanks for the constructive criticism and for watching. 🙂
