Playing For Change: Peace Through Music is a film that explores our connections in a world overwhelmed with division. Through the process of making this film, we traveled around the world and discovered that music opens the door to a place where we can come together as a human race. Music helps us to persevere through struggles and celebrate our differences which changes the world into a more peaceful place.

i really love the Omagh group... they are all very beautiful people and they all have awesome voices... there story is very sad but it shows music's power on the soul... gotta love it!

This documentary trailer features the incredible story of, and a performance by, the Omagh Community Youth Choir Official in Northern Ireland. Daryl Simpson created this choir shortly after a terrible bombing that took place in Omagh in 1998. He did this in an effort to bring peace and reconciliation to the community and to bring Catholic and Protestant young people together through music. His vision was so perfectly aligned with that of PFC that as soon as we learned about his organization our crew began making plans to film and record the choir.

In the midst of all the ugliness of this world, I am comforted by the music; yet it will not be universal until Christ returns in all His Glory: Thank you for the glimpse of the future,as well as what is happening in your town currently. one of the things that moved me the most is the fact that those kids in the omagh choir are trying to help make this world a better place. just the fact that people my age are a part of this amazing movement and care about the world. It makes we want to help the world in a way i could, no matter how small it would seem, because, when its snow, it's is just a bunch of single snow flakes coming together as one, and although 1 snowflake alone doesn't make much of a difference, together, they do.

Hi Valerie The original of this song is "Love rescue Me" by U2 and can be found on the album "Rattle and Hum". The version in this video can be found on the album "Songs around the World" from Playing for Change. You can get the Playing for Change album at either their website, at iTunes Musicstore or the local Starbucks if you live in the USA or Canada. The part with Bono is not on the albumtrack however, but it is still great :)

Music is another version of math. It is universal. Everyone can enjoy it, and everyone can understand it. Not everyone does, but it does bridge some, if not all, of our human divides. And even if this movement only affects one single person in the world, it's served its purpose. I've been a pianist for 34 of my 38 years on this rock, and have never done anything else in my life that was worth more to me than that. Work, family, friends, nothing. Without music, I am nothing. So, to, is the world.
