Uh but you gotta remember though that trades usually happen in the middle game where two minor pieces can more easily create an attack and thus have better value, if you can avoid an endgame than you have the advantage, a rook is only more valuable if it infiltrates behind the enemy lines and no competent player would allow that. Thus not only are minor pieces more valuable when referring to points as two minor pieces are worth 6 points and a rook is only worth 5, they are also more useful for the period of the game such trades usually happen in.
