The Vancouver Canucks escaped Game 3 in Edmonton with a 4-3 victory over Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and company. Arturs Silovs was sensational with 42 saves while Brock Boeser and Elias Lindholm both notched a pair of goals. Matt and Blake recap it all on a special PLAYOFF POST-GAME recap.

Even as an Oiler fan it was great to see Silovs play such a great game. Hat is off to the kid. Handled the pressure way better than his counterpart 200 feet away.

The suspension for the Soucy crosscheck on David should be the same as the Ryan spear to the groin on Hoglander, which was...... zero.

precisely. Hronek is good, but Zadorov is impactful. Trade Hronek, offer Myers a payCUT, let Cole go, give Z the $$$ and sign another reliable free agent. Move Pettersson to ANY TEAM WILLING TO GIVE US ANYTHING LOL

I heard the question from the reporter to Draisaitl. It starts with him saying, four or five off the post, [...] is that good goaltending or bad luck? So Leon may be interpreted as reacting to the awkward question rather than being snide.

Third period again, Canucks were playing scared and just happy to ice to puck or get it out of the zone, as if they were shorhanded. Cant play that way - you are playing with fire. Gotta get the puck in the other zone and keep it in, even if you dont score.

McDavid with the two handed slash and then flopped from Zadodov’s cross check, which put his head in the path of Soucys cross check. Should definitely not be a suspension.

Anyone else notice Pettersson staring into the abyss on the bench during the 2nd period? He knows he's not being looked upon as an important piece of the puzzle and I think seeing how well the other 2 lines are doing is killing him, along with probably having that he is stuck with shitty wingers all the time

Mikeyev actually looks fine, until he once again runs into his mental block around the net. I thought that Karlsson was good, a bigger body along the boards, and he apparently does have some decent hands, his deficit being skating. Probably better than the alternatives.

the posts were all silovs gave them on those shots. canucks are 3 for 9 on the PP in this series. very respectable. canucks are living rent free in skinner's head. karlsson had a better game than pettersson. what is wrong with this guy?

I think he's been playing injured since late Jan. I can't even remember when the last time Pettersson scored an even strength goal. It was months ago... Maybe it was that pretty goal against the Rangers. We need that Pettersson back. Honestly, if you told me at the start of the playoffs that we'll lose Demko after game 1 and EP will barely contribute in the playoffs, but we'll be in the 2nd round and up 2 games to 1 against the Oilers, I would've called you crazy.

Petterson is SO BAD. I'm tired of the excuses. Good players step their game up, I dont care what linemates he has. He is a little boy amongst men out there, its embarrassing.

No one in NHL on his level has worse line mates or has changed line mates as much as him. He will never excel playing with AHL wingers, if you ever played and been a top player in your team you would understand. You don’t see Draisitl or Mcdavid matched with their 4th line wingers

You say the reason he cross checked him in the face was because Zadorov cross checked him from behind. You have to be responsible for your stick no matter. Suspension warranted.

That was totally a goal by the oilers. You can see it cross the line from a different camera angle. That would have turned the game around and resulted in The Oilers winning and probably advancing to the next round. But they are going home . 😉

I saw the angle too, its from the left side of the net(if facing the goal). You can see a speck of the puck in the netting of the goalies glove while over the line. Def not enough to overturn the call on the ice, but there a frame or two where you see the puck in his glove.
