They said in their stream that 100% of the units for both Stormcast and KBZ were in the beta. That was their complete unit rosters for final release. They did say there was a *feature* missing from each army, but were extremely specific that the unit rosters were final and complete.

We're likely to get one army from the Death Grand Alliance and one from the Chaos Grand Alliance. The trailer did say four armies, so, one from each grand alliance. In all likelyhood, if things go kindof well, we may get expansions that add additional armies into the fray... such as Cities of Sigmar, Lumineth Realmlords, Sylvaneth, and Fyreslayers for Order. Ironjaws, Bonesplitters, Gloomspite Gits, and Ogor Mawtribes for Destruction. There's also Death with it's Flesh-Eater Courts, Soulblights, Ossiarch Bonereapers, and Nighthaunts. Lastly there's Chaos with Disciples of Tzeentch, Blades of Khorne, Maggotkin of Nurgle, and Skaven Clans. I did hear rumors of Nighthaunts and Disciples of Tzeentch being the respective initial armies for Death and Chaos, so there's that.

it's more like Dawn of War II with an Age of Sigmar facelift. Also with the resource points being defendable.

@@Argroh I would argue it's like Dawn of War 3. Yes, you can't build base but the game lacks tactical depth and features that made DoW 2 superb. In a way, it's the worst of two worlds.

oh man was that beta a bummer. you have so few units on the board and the maps are as sterile as can be. the unit abilities are neat, but the AI is a trainwreck for player and enemy units

@@generalians I feel bad slating it but there are so many things I don’t think work. Units getting stuck with whichever is the first enemy unit they bump into makes it impossible to ensure you’re engaging optimal targets when melee units are all blobbed together. So, as they’re too unpredictable, melee units become meat shields designed to tie up as many units as possible, ranged units do the bulk of the work, flying units exist to engage ranged units, but really whoever lets off the most AoE abilities wins because they cannot be avoided and are insanely over powered. I genuinely applaud the different approach, but it just doesn’t make for a good game (I saw people comparing it to CoH!? It’s NOTHING like CoH!!)

4 races is too few? Lmao never play Starcraft then mate.

Mark of Chaos started with four races, orcs were added only in the addon. Dawn of Wag 1 started with four races. Dawn of War 2 started with four races. Total War started with four races, and everything else is essentially DLC. Vermintide originally had only skaven as opponents.

Agreed, never seen such details & passion put into an RTS! Finally an amazing looking game with groundbreaking tech. And made me enjoy AoS, that wasn't a given! x)
