Update!! I have seen many comments about them having new wifi and not being able to do this method. I have also had some with fixes they did sorta using my method. The way I have seen used most often is using a USB Keyboard and doing the same procedure but with that. Please try this if the app does not work. I have not verified this but have heard from many that it does!! Good luck, thanks for watching and hope it fixes so you can all keep on gaming!!
I spent almost 2 months doing research and trying so many things that when I found out what worked, I had to share and hope it helps someone!!

Thank you so much for this. Similar situation when I synced my controlled to a different device and then it would not connect to the original. BROOO!!! AFTER GOING SO MANY FORUMS/REDDIT/PLAYSTATION TROUBLESHOOT/GOOGLE SEARCHES… THIS ONE IS THE ANSWER TO MY PROBLEM Instead of using the PS Remote App, I connected my USB Keyboard, applied the necessary steps shown in the video and viola, it works! I was sooo close to slam dunking my controller into the concrete out of frustration. Thank you!

How do you get past the press the ps button screen with the keyboard?

@@ru8ix715 You turn the console on with the Power Button on the console while the keyboard is plugged in, dont use the controller to turn it on.

Normally never do reviews for KZfaq videos!!! But you knocked it out of the park! I had a old PlayStation and could not get any controller to sync. Deleted all old controllers and blam!! Synced just great! Now works fine.

What if you have never connected it via remote play? I cant get it to work because i have to get a number from ps4 settings to go into the app

When I did it, I never setup remote play, that is why I wasn't sure that would work either... What number are you getting? When I did it, I don't remember a number but I had to make sure I was on the same wifi or internet signal and it originally took a bit to find the Playstation so I just left my phone on trying to sync until it finally did...
