An actual dev as a CEO is great. He has first hand experience in making them so he should be able to make some good decisions. As a CEO he has more power and say.

I think it's smart to divide the CEO role and to have each of them focus on what they're good at. Maybe this will make PlayStation be more efficient, be more transparent, and make better decisions for the long term. Hopefully they can work well together so we get games (and games that are fully developed and not rushed out) and maybe we'll finally get word on this PS5 Pro situation.

This seems pretty good, I like it. Herman is clearly experienced in the video game world so I'm genuinely interested in seeing where he'll take the PS brand. Hopefully this brings back new investments into smaller games in the midst of bigger titles. Better cadence, solid 3rd party deals, etc.

They honestly don't have to be, they just need to "do". Microsoft talking too much is arguably what got them in the position they're in. A bunch of false promises etc. If they can be communicative in a productive way I'm for it but yeah.

Seems ok. I liked Herman more before, last few years he seems a bit more lazy and a bit more inept, but seem ok, and hasn’t made huge screw ups I can remember. Only thing I’m worried about is if the two guys have good communication and rapport? I think a lot of tech guys or nerdy guys like this know hardware and stats and numbers but don’t know how to communicate well or use liberal arts nor communication well, and often can’t express their thoughts well… and than language barrier also. but, if the two guys can talk to each other and be understood by each other well, I have no worries. And likely, the powers that be took that into account before announcing this and knew beforehand the two guys are able to partner well and work in sync well enough. Time will tell.

Bro this was a weird comparison with 343 studio lol. I see where you were going, but it's much similar to just Xbox as a whole. You have Booty overseeing the 3 divisions (ABK, Bethesda, and Xbox studios game group) Then you have Sarah Bond focusing on the overall Xbox brand with the platform, then you have phil at the op overseeing it all broadly.

Oh, so basically Hiroki Totoki is the real boss. Dumbass idea…their responsibilities overlap and they’re not going to agree on everything where one affects the other’s plans, but I guess it will be Totoki with the final say. PC sales across the board have been mediocre to poor outside of one exception. At a certain point (maybe after GOW Ragnarok sells a million or significantly less) Sony has to get realistic about whether it makes sense to keep investing time and money into that. Atleast PSVR1 was growing while they were still getting AAA games like Hitman, Skyrim, Astrobot and RE7 on it. If Sony actually gets all the way back on that track with PSVR2 it’s reasonable to assume substantial growth will occur beyond the 10% or so software growth seen with PC ports of PS titles.

I don't understand why people are saying this is a good pic you do realize PlayStation has been down in sales for a while Due to not very many good titles to play And the console has been out for a good couple years now....
