That's the thing everyone has forgotten, we all see the same world in different ways. That's what I love about art, (all forms) we'll never see or hear it the same way. It touches all of us in different ways.

People say there's something wrong with Aaron but in reality those are the people whom he is probably intenting these lyrics for. He's just opening the door with his lyrics for people to come in and realize that they are not alone in their emotions and feelings towards this world of ours. Sick or not enjoy the song.

I think the problem is people aren’t used to men having emotions. Normally we aren’t allowed to express ourselves without being dragged in the dirt. So Aaron speaks, it resonates with us.

I dont know if there is something wrong. Hes just become a bit of a self righteous douchebag. His entire identity has now become about his political beliefs and his music is reflecting it to a repetitive and boring level. But as long as this stuff still exists i can still be a fan of this aaron lewis. But ill never spend money to see him live again.

This is real. Hands down, Aaron Lewis is the greatest singer of this era, preiod. There is no other singer that can deliver this much emotions while still having the greatest singing voice. A real hero i would call him, never got the chance to thank him on their concert thou. Never ever stop doing what you are doing, it's a source of light and inspiration to everyone that listens to you.

Don't listen to this song while going through a hard time with your partner.. The emotional aspect of this song is so deep it will make you feel things are worse than really are.. (My case and also another factor involved.) Still a beautiful song that I always come back too but also puts me in a dark space.. Honestly, I think most of his songs (mainly acoustic versions) drop me down. Lived it and there's so much emotion in his voice. Case in point, What Hurts The Most, written by Jeffery Steele, made famous by Rascial Flatts.. Rascial Flatts sounded (flat, no emotion) Jeffery's acoustic version was beautiful and powerful. Aaron dropped the tempo and added his own feel to it.. Absolutely fucking beautiful! I can't say who is first/second with that song but can definitely say who's third.. (Flatts)

Being a huge fan of staind since they came out, I rushed down to k-mart 😆 and bought this album as soon as it was available. Many great songs on this album, but I really liked this one. 15 years later I still love this song. Nothing has changed, and yet everything has changed. The world has gone crazy; But how I feel this song hasn’t changed at all:

I can honeslty go out on a limb and say he is one of the best male vocalists of all time. To be able to go out in front of 50,000 people at a time, and still sound great is beyond me, but he can do it. He has emotion when he sings unlike all these fake bands we see today.

Glad I grew up in the golden age of music. I was born in 1999 but I love most metal, rock, rap etc. from 1990-2012 and after that most stuff went to shit but there is still good stuff today but not like this and it's the same with games, tv, movies etc. wish I could go back to those years and the nostalgia is hitting hard for me when I listen to this. "Please" Can't you see that I'm sick of this? Chances are you're oblivious to how I feel Sitting on your throne, and I'm sure that I'm not alone, Not alone, not alone. Tell me please, Who the fuck did you want me to be? Was it something that I couldn't see? Never knew this would be so political. And please, I'm still wearing this miserable skin And it's starting to tear from within But it's obvious that doesn't bother you, so please I didn't think that you'd sell me out Now I know what you're all about. You might feel in control of things. But you're not holding all the strings. All the strings, all the strings. Tell me please, Who the fuck did you want me to be? Was it something that I couldn't see? Never knew this would be so political. And please, I'm still wearing this miserable skin And it's starting to tear from within But it's obvious that doesn't matter to you, So please I've swallowed all your answers I've swallowed all my pride You've used up all your chances Can't keep this all inside Tell me please, Who the fuck did you want me to be? Was it something that I couldn't see? Never knew this would be so political. And please, I'm still wearing this miserable skin And it's starting to tear from within But it's obvious that doesn't bother you So please don't keep telling me that it's ok I don't buy all the shit that you say And quite honestly I'm fucking sick of it so please if I cut off this nose from my face Then I wouldn't feel so out of place But it still wouldn't be quite enough for you, so please.

My wife and I have seen Aaron 5 times and Staind once. We are planning on seeing him again Feb. 4, 2012 in Biloxi Ms. He is an amazing artist. However I hope that he gets away from that Country Music BullShit (and his buddy Ben on the Steel Guitar) and goes back to playing his original Staind music at his acoustic shows. He can throw in a few cover songs if he wants to but I like his original songs.
