She died the same day John Farnham was diagnosed with his mouth cancer. We lost Judith Durham a few days before and Archie Roach not long after Olivia.

“Sizzle in my Soul” You couldn’t have expressed it any better. Whenever I hear this performance, I literally need about ten minutes to get my sh-t together. This planet was a better place because these 2 icons live/lived on it. And if you had a crush on Olivia, then you have impeccable taste.

Thank you so much for your beautiful and emotional 'reaction/tribute' to our Olivia. Australia, if not the world, is in mourning with her passing. John would be shattered I know. They were long time friends in our Aussie music industry...They last did a duet at our Fire Relief Concert a few years ago.. Olivia was always a giver of kindness and would help anyone in need. Her 'Wellness' centres for those recovering from cancer or the treatments etc were funded by her...A beautiful, beautiful soul.

We had the State Memorial here in Australia today 26.2.23. Olivia was our Australian icon. We love her. She was so beautiful and she had a voice to match. She will be greatly missed always. RIP to our Livy 💙

John has lost two of his closest friends this year. His manager & best friend, Glenn Wheatley & now Olivia! Australia also lost another beautiful singer last week. Judith Durham of The Seekers. She was 79. Truly heartbreaking! 🙏😢

Wow what a beautiful and respectful reaction. You even had me tearing up for a while. Yes the chemistry between Olivia and John is magical, beautiful and 100% believable not only because they are 2 of the greatest entertainers I know, but also because they were the best of friends. They performed together so many times over the years and I am so lucky to have experienced that. I am so looking forward to hearing more on your channel from both John and Olivia. We were all devastated when we lost her. But she lives on through her beautiful music and amazing TALENT. RIP Olivia 🙏

These two have been best friends for many years. We are very fortunate there was a live concert that toured Australia featuring John, Olivia and Anthony Warlow. Superb doesn't even come close to describing the content of this show. My wife and I saw it, and it will stay with us forever. Just a footnote. Anthony had something in common with Olivia besides talent. They were both (at the time) cancer survivors. Please watch this show, you will not be disappointed.

John and Liv performed this beautifully. This was a hit song for John (I think in the 70s) and this particular performance was part of the incredibly successful The Main Event concert which featured John, Olivia and Anthony Warlow. Olivia was an incredible person who is going to be genuinely missed by so many, but who has left a lasting legacy of music as well as her cancer and wellness research centre born of her own tireless work.

When I was a kid I found a Olivia Newton John tape in my Dad's friend car while waiting for them to come out of the pub. It was an early tape of hers before she made it big in the States. Pure quality. One of the greats.

Thank you for your perfectly nuanced appreciation of both John and Olivia. I an a 66 year old Australian man who grew up with these two and saw them blossom. You are the only "commentator" that I have seen, and I have viewed more than I should have, that gets it. The legacy of Australian music is not a backwater, it has been, in the hands of some very talented Australian and New Zealand bands and performers, a reinterpretation and reinvigoration of international trends and influences. I value you, above any other than I have seen, to keep that reality alive. ( you are right there was no auto tune when Farnsey and Barnsey appeared on the live Daryll Somers show, that we all watched on a Saturday night)

🕊 RIP to Olivia. In tears once more now. John and Livvy were very close friends and they both clearly thought so highly and cared for each other. I can't imagine the loss for all of her family and friends. She touched so many souls in her lifetime. I remember going to her Xanadu concert as a youngster with my parents in the South West of Western Australia. Thank you for your respectful reaction.

Thankyou for your reaction, as an Aussie we were absolutely gutted when she left this earth. The friendship between John and Olivia was real and they performed with their whole hearts. Thank you. 😢 That was from The Main Event concert with Anthony Warlow. Livvie and John did a 3 month tour with Anthony after he finished some harsh cancer treatment because that is who they were and are. Early today I listened to John singing this song alone and I have heard my daughter sing it. I would love you to do some of Olivia.

I could see how much you were affected by this performance, it cuts right to through your soul. This song means a lot to me, l met my soul mate some 40 odd years ago; my heart's not free either, and it hurts that l can't show her how l feel about her(even though I have told her, it's not the same).

Yes you can see the magic between them. They really do, did love each other since teenagers, not in love - 50 years of friendship love. I can’t ever remember crying when a celebrity passed, I’ve sobbed over Livvy. I can’t imagine the grief both John and his wife Jill are going through. That song was from a wonderful concert called The Main Event also with our Aussie Phantom Of The Opera, Anthony Warlow. They sang beautifully songs but also all had fun laughing and being silly on stage - Brilliant concert. One I’ll always return to watch to see them all, especially now - with Our Livvy 💞

Respect to you mate, your word's said it all. As a proud Aussie our hearts, thoughts and prayers go out to John who had major surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from his mouth, he was in surgery for over 10 hours, if anyone can beat this, John can. And may Olivia rest in peace.

This song brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. My late cousin asked me to join her on stage in a concert to perform it, sadly my cousin also succumbed to cancer about 10 years ago. No one will better John and Olivia in singing this song.

They where great friends John made a public comment on Oliver which is very rare for John once he retired It's been a bad year for him only a couple months ago he lost long time freind and manager unexpectedly as well He mortgaged everything he had to make John famous they where like family and their families hung out together 🙏 RIP to them both and thank you for caring Oliver would be shocked in how much out pouring of love for her Cheers mate
