I read Names for the Sea a couple years ago based on your recommendation and loved it. I went to Iceland recently in March and I think I can credit that book and your recommendation with inspiring that trip. I bought the Raven’s Nest recently and am looking forward to reading it. Fingers crossed it’s a five star read for us both!

I really enjoyed Weyward, it was a 4.5 star for me! I loved Anne of Green Gables and want to read more of the series soon too 😊 The Raven’s Nest sounds interesting, I just added that to my TBR. Good luck with finding a 5 star!!

Anne of Avonlea is my favorite book in that series! I hope you love it. I still think your single author-themed reading month next year should be about L.M. Montgomery! There are so many interesting books out there which are based on the Anne of Green Gables series, that you definitely wouldn't have a hard time finding things to read! And you could use it as an excuse to read the next few books in the series, as well as watching some of the movie and TV adaptations.

I Loved Heartstopper Vol 1 &2, 3 was OK. I did not really like Vol 4 because I had some issues with how some things come across. (I think in this winter there is more about Charlie's storyline, but I hate it if you have to read other books to get the full picture). Book 5 is great again, I loved when Elle and Tara gave Nick that talk on their little road trip)

I just listened to Rebecca of Sunny Brook Farms. It reminded me of Anne of Green Gables. Really enjoyed it.

I hope you find some 5 star reads among those! 🤞 Also, I was wondering whether you maybe have some recs for books similar to The Other Bennet Sister by Janice Hadlow? I have picked up that book on your recommendation 2 years ago and have since read & reread it and it has become one of my favorite books 🥰 Reading about a young woman who feels discarded by her own family but ends up finding her way in life on her own, but with a help of good dose of healing love and gentleness from others is such a comfort read whenever I feel down 😊

You have Philip Pullman on your shelves. I have heard his books are fantastic. It might be something for you to consider. Try a couple of chapters to see if you like them. I read In Memoriam this year and it was really good. I also read A Ladder to the Sky by John Boyne and it was really good. He is a really good writer with a lot of books to choose from.

I've had the same type of reading year, I've started and DNF'd so many books/audio books this year. If you want to read something 5* try The Centre by Ayesha Manazir Siddiqi, I still think about it months on from reading it.
