This is my third time fishing the Brule River, and I now realize that this river is too awesome for its own good. It seems like every good spot on the river is already taken by sunrise. We were forced to find any available spot to fish on any river on this trip. As always, we just enjoyed the adventure.

What part of Brule were you on towards end of video?A few years back my son and l went up there.We were given a suggestion from someone who lived there for years.He steered us to the area of what they call the "ledges".After about a 1/4 mile stairway down the hill,you are in God's country.l was impressed.After about 40 years of trout fishing WI & MN,this river has to be top 5 in terms of beauty.Also,how did you meet Slayer Mike?l have watched videos of you guys fishing togather and individually in your own videos.He is funny entertaining.l love your drone video footage and under water camera or all your skilled camera work.Last of all your audio at beginning of your videos where the fishing reel drag is buzzing.Keep up the great work.

Thanks for the wonderful comment. We were camping at the Copper Range campground, and were fishing not too far from there. I'm not sure what the location is called, but its close to the dam. I met Slayermike through youtube. He commented on my videos, and we got talking. Turns out he lives about 40 minutes from me. He's been a lot of fun to fish with, and definitely adds some excitement to the videos. I appreciate you supporting our channels!

Its extra tough when its a river because there is limited real estate to work with. We made the most it though.

Definitely a challenge with crowded waters. Hunting public land can be the same way. Never a dull moment with Mike 😂

I almost didn't make a video of this trip, then Mike started performing for the camera so I would make one. Like you said, never a dull moment!

We drove by that eagle, then decided we better turn around and get a shot of it since we didn't have video of any fish!

I'd have to pass on the Combat Fishing too....You guys take what the trip dishes out and have a great time hanging out....Knot sure how much of a good time you guyz can Bear!!

Hi Blake. This is a very popular river, especially when the steelhead are running. You have to get out there and claim your spot before the sun rises.

Locals might say it's the out of state anglers who can't seem to catch fish in their own states that make it crowded.

I would agree. Wi is my home state so I don't feel bad about fishing there, but I will be fishing other places in the future so as not to add to the crowds.

@@jeremywilson9220 We might skip the river this year and take the boat on lake Superior instead. Should be less crowded on the lake.

I figured going on a Thursday at the far end of the steelhead run that it wouldn't be too bad. I guess I was wrong. Its an amazing place, but everyone knows it. Thanks for stopping by!

We're fishing and camping. Its a good time no matter what happens. A few more fish would have been nice though.

If you want to catch fish at the Brule, ask me and you will catch lots of fish. Just gotta know where and when to go. The best river when the water is 180-200. Anything over 205 forget about it. Lower than 180 is ok but for other species.

Nice! Looks like you got this place figured out. I was using the charts front he DNR that shows when the highest counts of fish come through. Our biggest problem was finding a spot with no people.

@@GoMidwestFishing gotta get up early and stake your claim on one good spot. The fish are on the move. No sense in bouncing around if there's to many people. And bring a friend so that you can keep others out of your claim. Others won't try to push you out. If they do don't move. You have rights to the spot. Bring smith and wesson for peaceful resolutions.

Path less traveled is certainly not going to bring you to the Brule. Stay away. Stay in your own states that also have steelhead, MN&MI....

Hello JJ. Just for the record, I would like to say that even though I currently live in MN, Wisconsin is my home state, born and raised there. I do agree though, it attracts too many people from everywhere for its own good. I don't enjoy fighting over fishing spots, which is why there will be at least one less person on the river next year.
