This reminds me of a memory from my childhood. My mom had stopped and got me a pizza and I was very happy so when I got home and sat down to eat, you can imagine my shock to see a daddy long legs run out of my pizza box and somewhere into my room.

This reminds me of the time where I was joking with my family that it looked like my broccoli had two little red eyes. It was a cooked caterpillar that I was about to eat even after noticing the eyes. It had actually managed to cling to the broccoli even after it was washed and then basically got fused to the broccoli via oven.

It's true. I've been working in kitchens for about 17 years now and even though the produce we get is "pre-washed", it will still have bugs in it. Romaine lettuce is a great example of this. Take it from a Chef, wash your veggies THOROUGHLY! Side note, don't eat potatoes that have green in it, I'm not talking about mold, just some green highlights you find occasionally under the skins. Bugs is where the fun starts. After I saw an article about these pre-washed ready to eat salads (you usually get those bags in the supermarket) I wash them reaaaally well, too.
