Plini is so inspirational to me. His music blew my mind and basically opened it to possibilities I didn't even know existed. This song (as well as Flaneur and I'll Tell You Someday) utilizes quintuplets, which I hadn't even known existed. Quarter notes are divided into 5 16ths instead of 4, so there's a totally different feel to the groove. It's odd without feeling odd, and I love it.

Electric Sunrise is the first track on the album. The main theme in the title track is repeated in one or two other songs, though. If you listen to the whole album, you kind of recognize it. His new album drops next month! I would love to see a live full album react from you.

I’ve always tried to describe his music when I introduce new people to him - there is an amount of “happy groove” and “sunshine” to his compositions that just make you smile from ear to ear !!! Keep em coming, you have just scratched the surface w him !!! Excited for Cascade MORE MORE !!!

Hey I've been watching a ton of your videos lately! Absolutely loving the positivity and tunes! Quick fact about this song: many of those rhythmic patterns going on, especially on the hi-hat's and during the breakdown, are quintuplets (groups of 5)! I'd highly encourage you to listen through it again with that in mind and I promise it will blow your mind as it did mine!

This channel does well to me, and I love how you appreciate music. I'm a producer as well. I don't have much uploaded but in my grad project, I investigated Plini and Tosin Abasi to craft my songs. PLEASE PLEASE react to Wombat Astronauts from Plini. That one is just a No Brainer!! There's a melody line where you hear way better the layering technique he uses.

You should try out the band: The Omnific. They’re Australian. They’re a three piece instrumental band. They have 2 bassists and a drummer. I think you’ll like them. Try out their videos: “Pharaoh 2.0” or “Final Tree ft. Jacob Umansky”. Jacob is a bassist. He had a band in college that played at an Intervals show and then years later he became Intervals’ tour bassist and he is on Intervals’ new album coming out next month. That’s why he’s well known. So it’s interesting to hear a band like The Omnific have no guitarist (they sometimes feature one) and have 2 bassists, but then have a song that has three bassists with no guitarist. They do have another song featuring a bassist, but it’s featuring a bassist and a guitarist. I think you should try them out first as just them and then try them out in a song with 3 bassists. I think it’s different and they still make the songs great without a guitarist.

OOOOooo. This sounds interesting. I can't say I've ever listened to a band with only bassist and no guitarist. Like what?? lol (As a guitarist myself, i'm slightly offended... haha JK) I'll add them to my list for sure.

@KelliConan

@@alego8601 Yeah that's the song Pharaoh. I had thought that was featured a guitarist as well. He can try that one as well 'cause it's an awesome song too. I think that one is the first one I heard/saw of their's. Probably 'cause of Simon. I picked Pharaoh 2.0 'cause it doesn't feature anyone and he can get a feel of how the band is. he might know about Simon from listening to Plini if he's seen any of Plini's tour music videos. I don't know if he's tried Intervals and the prog pop punk metal version that Jacob has being tour in and who is on the new album coming out. So I suggested Final Tree so he might find out about another artist he might not have heard of.
