It's my first time to pick up blueberries (blåbär) in Sweden. The berries taste different. Inside the berries is blue and it has a richer taste than I used to taste the ones I had in Japan. Maybe the rich soil grows the berries better. 😄 The other day, my local Swedish friends explained that these berries are actually different from blueberries we have in Japan, but they are called bilberries. Inside the berries have a very rich blue color, and teeth get the color like Harald Blåtand. Maybe Harald Blåtand ate so many bilberries so that his teeth got stained blue. Maybe he would be surprised if he knew that the famous Bluetooth was named after his blue tooth.
