my fav thing about anti venom is that while its still a symbiote its goals are almost the compete opposite of any other symbiote, kill and harm people is normal for a symbiote but urging the host to cure and heal people is incredible, the perfect doctor, doctor anti-venom

I don't get how he went from forgiving Peter, realising half the stuff wasn't his fault, and working with him after Spider-Man helped save his girlfriend from that falling wheel or whatever, to absolutely hating and blaming him again. so weird. very inconsistent.

I loved this one particularly. When a symbiote is created by dr Otto or Norman using science, I find it very plain. But this story is so unique. Venom is our sins and Eddie cures himself just from sheer will. This comic even shows how bad of a decision commiting sucide is. With enough willpower alone you can acconplish greats things, just like Eddie!

It should be noted that in Spectacular Spider-Man: The Hunger, it is explained that Eddie's cancer is formed around an adrenal gland, and it causes him to create an excess of adrenaline, which the Venom symbiote is addicted to. However, Peter Parker's unique physiology granted to him from the Spider bite also grants him a very potent and tasty adrenaline for the symbiote. While Eddie has turned Peter into a personal demon and manifestation of all his pain, the reason he has such a problem with Peter isn't necessarily because he lost his job due to him. The symbiote only ever really wanted Peter's adrenaline, but if it left Eddie, his cancer would kill him. It may have already said all this in the video, but I thought I would point it out. It's just a unique bit of Spider-Man lore. The Hunger also has some of my favorite art by Homberto in it.

I immediately pieced together that Anti-Venom might be apart of the comic when I saw Mr. Li take Eddie into his office after Eddie's cancer just magically disappeared.

I love this storyline. I remember the Marvel Comics app gave the story about Eddie's time at FEAST and finally being cured from cancer away for free. Loved it so much I followed the storyline and read through the Anti-Venom comics and he became one of my favourite characters.

This is the story of a good hearted man, with a different outlook and vision on life. Honestly, I prefer Anti-Venom over Spiderman.. maybe its the idea his story feels a bit more real and less fictional(though its all fiction), but hes a good man.

Oh yeah, the original Anti-Venom was the best out of all the other iterations. From its mystical creation to progressing Eddie as a character--I believe this was truly the starting point of Eddie's long road of repentance and redemption for his sins. The others that came afterwards (being two more), just felt like cheap excuses to "bring Anti-Venom back!" Like, one was simply made in a lab (boring) and the last is genuinely a real symbiote, not an artificial one like the original. Which, to be fair, could be an interesting concept, but it's still a copy of a copy.

I can never tell something with Venom. I know he’s violent and all, but with Brock it seems to always switch between being an anti-hero with brock or being the devil lurching over him.

I really engaged with the storyline and the story telling which barely happened to me since I always get bored in the middle of the vids (If the vids are too long). It's great! Thanks, I enjoyed it so much!

Negative Man really did wonders for eddy he had a sense of some control unlike before however he was still swayed by that power even though he was in control like a primal thing that still existed with the new symbiote and was also swayed by its current host so in the end eddy's way of thinking was tarnished quite heavily from venom already making him into into a creature that wants too force his help onto people which is just as dangerous as when venom was in control.

This is a great video btw , thanks for covering this mostly forgotten part of his character

This is why anti venom is my favourite symbiote, he isn’t really bad but he just doesn’t want people constantly getting controlled by symbiotes with a deadly intentions. He is just ridding the world from diseases but doesn’t understand Spider-Man’s abilities as shown in 19:02 , this is the reason why he’s my favourite symbiote.
