@@SCALES1992 lol how? The explanation basically says that’s false. In the moment when Peter becomes the host, he was the strongest individual of the three. It’s arguable the symbiote chose Peter because it knew he was the best individual to help spread it’s influence. Later it saw Harry as a great host because Harry was becoming mentally unstable and super desperate. At that later moment, the symbiote had a better opportunity to spread it’s influence through Harry than anyone else.

I like that in Venom's own weird way, he is doing what his wearer wants. Harry (at first): work with Peter, protect Peter, fight crime, proof himself to Peter. Peter: Stop crime, help New York, be a better Spider-man, save lives Harry (later on): Heal the world, have Peter by his side, kill Kraven. Scream (bonus): Confess her true feelings, spread the truth, speak up

@@elchoronanoParasitism is a type of symbiosis. I'd say that in a lot of the cases (Harry with the symbiote initially, Peter with the symbiote and later Anti-Venom, etc.), It's a mutualistic relationship, the one you think of when you think of symbiosis.

@@CDNBreadDogs well yeah becuz it's the host fault. It's why Venom and other symbiotes go evil due to feeding on their negativity. The symbiosis goes well at first, but becomes a problem when the wearer is incapable of handling their own emotions. This is proven time and time again, especially with Spiderman. It's why people like Flash Thompson or future Eddie Brock can handle the symbiote. Parasitism isn't ideal. Mutualism is ideal.

Like the change to remove Venom's weakness to fire. Having one obscure weakness is fine. Not everyone has a sound Cannon. But having an obvious weakness like fire is too much.

Yeah the whole weakness to fire thing has always bothered me. Like, it's cool on a thematic level when you learn how the Symbiotes were created, but it's not really that distinguishable since.. Basically every living being has a weakness to fire lmao. Fire burns and destroys things. It's really not that unique to have a weakness to it. Making them fireproof is a much cooler choice.

@kin4386 yeah, and thematically from knull it's an entirely psychosomatic issue, theyre not ACTUALLY weak to fire. It's like nails on a chalkboard to them, it's just severe mental anguish from genetic ptsd, nothing that would physically damage them. Sound makes sense as a full genuine weakness, fire makes sense as an overcomable weakness that's only use is getting an edge on a symbiote who hasn't overcome it.

Like, yeah, no one likes when something is too loud, but to be PHYSICALLY hurt by it is something not seen before. That's what makes that weakness cool and unique. Fire on the other hand is just.. Fire. Fire damages things. That's it's purpose lmao. So a "weakness" to that isn't really that interesting. A mental weakness to it is a little more interesting, but not physically.

While I fully agree I would like to point out sensory sensitivity in humans can *border* on being physically hurt by it lol @@kin4386 I have autism and certain sounds genuinely make me feel like my entire body is being disrupted on a cellular level, just completely fries the nervous system or smt for a few seconds. Feels like my body wants to melt into a gelatinous puddle but cant and my insides feel like fuzzy worms wriggling against eachother in agony. Metal on porcelain or porcelain on porcelain is one of those sounds lol, fun at dinner when people start scraping the bowls with silverware. It's not the same but I just find it fun to mention as a related fact, it's part of why I love the symbiotes, I can relate- ;w;

I like how the fight sequence with Scream is a reference to Maguire's Spiderman. First, he hit his back on the ledge when Scream threw him (and he held a hand over it). Second, he got thrown into a pile of poles that suspiciously look the same as the one that Maguire used in Spiderman 3.

I think it kind of shows that the symbiote was influencing him, and wasn't "corrupted" by Peter. Harry started absolutely pummelling Kraven and his goons. If MJ didn't grab his attention when Peter was dying, he would've turned Kraven's head into hamburger, and I don't think that was something regular-Harry would've been okay with, as we see when he "wakes up" for a moment following Venom eating Kraven's face later on.

I would say that but based on the fact the used the symbol of Knull, gave Miles the Knull outfit, and gave Venom wings it seems they were influence by the King of Darkness comics where Carnage is infecting the world to summon the God of symbiotes. In that comic Venom gets his wings, becomes the new god of symbiotes, and the suit Miles unlocks is a comic cover for the absolute carnage series running into the knull series however in the comic itself when miles gets infected he becomes a 4 armed symbiote if I remember correctly. comics were web of shadows on cocaine envolving ancient symbiote, their religion, etc. There were even dragons in it. Miles in that story also had a deep seeded hatred for venom because in his universe Venom was constantly beating the crap out of him and ate his mom so both his parents were dead.

I like tbe idea thag the symbiote first bonded to Peter before turning him, it feels refreshing to know that the symbiote is actually really smart in this game and not just a costume, because in the past it was just a costume that made you a little edgy. but now it's wanting a family, I think Tom Hardy's venom normalised this a little bit but its still cool.

Not gonna lie I wasnt expecting the Knull refrences and a take over the world plot like in those comics and the Web of Shadows game did. This game makes me wish web of shadows had a remake. It would be nice to see them adapt the carnage to king of darkness comics but since they did that in a way with this game I dont think we will see that happen, especially with Venom dead.

Imo and I'm a huge symbiote fan so I'm sure people will disagree with me, but what I woulda liked to see is if MJ actually was able to gain control over scream, seemed she was heading that way of actual self control and having scream on board, actual symbiosis until the noises anyway. I just think it woulda been a cool thing to be like oh yeah her will is strong enough that she was able to control herself.

The fact that the symbiote abilities don’t assimilate to the same colour suit your wearing annoys me post game. You can’t were black suit without having to deal with white tendrils. 😢
