Hi sir. I have a few questions regarding the formula for the distance from branch lines to wall and distance from last sprinkler to wall. May I be able contact you for clarification? Thank you!

@ H. Machacon Mechanical Engineering, thank you for the video. You introduced two methods for plotting the Design Area, which method should be used for hydraulic calculation? I think the 2nd method is more critical for the most remote sprinkler, since more pressure and water flow available for the closest sprinklers and less pressure and water flow for the most remote sprinkler.

What area and its corresponding discharge density which we dedicate to elite software, is it the actual area after configuration design area or the original area1500ft2. ?

From the Area-Density Curve of NFPA 13, along the Ordinary Hazard 2 Occupancy line, I chose the point with a density of 0.2 gpm per sq. ft. with its corresponding area of 1,500 sq ft. In this case I will be using the density of 0.2 gpm per sq. ft. all throughout the process of hydraulic calculations (this will be presented in a succeeding video tutorial.) The 1,500 sq. ft. will be my “target” in determining exactly how many sprinkler heads will be flowing that covers at least 1,500 sq. ft. of area. That is why we needed to a few more sprinklers if the area of coverage falls short of the 1,500 sq. ft. of area. It is necessary to know how many sprinkler heads will be flowing in your hydraulic calculations. In our video tutorials, I am explaining how to do the process by hand. As for the Elite Software - Fire, I would advise you to check with the software developer, because it is their product. Sorry for the delayed reply, I have been tied up with our projects - so busy.

Good day sir. Is the design area still applicable for deluge system? For open sprinklers?

Hi Sir, where the you get the "S" in determining the Number of Sprinkler. In this video S is equal to 12ft. Is it constant value?
@h.machaconmechanicalengine1187
@h.machaconmechanicalengine1187 2 жыл бұрын
"s" is the actual spacing between sprinklers as determined in the Layout of Fire Sprinkler Systems taken at the most remote sprinklers
