Pity there's no English for those who only understand English. I'm a Finn/Swede and I love the snow and I'm used to it and willingly recommend these kinds of videos for people who's interested in snow and perhaps never seen snow. I really appreciate the reactions from people that are sooo amazed about something that we in the north takes for granted and almost are tired of, it's an entire new world for some people!

Thank you for sharing this. As a truck driver and occasional heavy equipment operator I love seeing content like this with trucks and equipment from other countries. Those plows are leagues better than what we run in the pacific northwest of America. I just wish there were English subtitles. But sometimes you can't have it all right?

Maybe you can. Intentionally, "Brøyt i vei" was a TV series by NRK for our domestic audience, so that's why there is no English translation included. But maybe KZfaq can take it from there: if you can find and select the Subtitles/Closed Caption icon, located in the lower right corner of the video, you should get Auto translate or English (auto-generated) subtitles. Although the function is not a master of the Norwegian languages, it should be possible to understand at least the essence of the dialog for you foreigners/non-Scandinavians, too ...if it is one of the Norwegian languages and dialects KZfaq recognize. Just note that KZfaq Translate is not fully aware of the complexity of language in Norway. We have four official and normative written languages in Norway (the Germanic Norwegian has two, Bokmål and Nynorsk, while Sámi is a non-Germanic language). However, spoken Norwegian languages are not normative, like e.g. the language of the United States, but can be split further into groups of linguistic relation. Norwegian can be split into four main groups: North-Norwegian, Trøndersk, East-Norwegian and West-Norwegian. These four groups are further broken into about 400+ dialects. Sámi is split into several groups, most are represented in Norway: North-Sámi, South-Sámi, Ume, Lule, Pite and Skolte Sámi. The fourth language is Kvensk, another official minority language (both Sámi and Kvensk are Ural languages) in Norway. The KZfaq translator is only aware of one or two of all these, so the subtitles will probably not turn out perfect. What you hear in this video is a few North-Norwegian dialects. Anyway, good luck with the subtitles - I hope it turns out alright.

Fantastisk gjeng! Minte mæ om en gang vi kjørte sørover fra Magerøya i storm og æ spurte han som stod i bomstasjonen ved tunnelen om veien e åpen: "Jaa, neeeei, æ trur ikke den e heeelt stengt.."

Ermmm..... ?? Never stops to amaze me.... people visiting the Arctic Circle, and North Cape, and haven't done much research before getting here. "I didn't believe it'd be much snow in Dec./Jan. .." 🤣🤣🤯🤯 It's 71 degrees North!!! And a TIP for any driver, specially in snow, is to have yellow glasses, it makes a HUGE difference, specially in white out conditions ;)

That's not what he said. He thought it would be _more_ snow in Dec/Jan and was surprised when it's actually March-April when he visited that is the snowiest months, which is quite unique and opposite from the rest of the world.
