Great Video; super nice day. Stripers hit in bright light! I can't believe how clear that SF Bay water" is in your video. Maybe as it's a rock protected "lagoon". If I were a fish in the SF bay I'd be in that clean, clear water too!

Oh I love that type of fishing, I remember doing it from 1972 to 1980. We'd fish the Oakland Estuary at night, using 5 and a half-inch Rebels. The stripers would follow the anchovies in, on the incoming tide. We chucked those rebels right off the shore. 🎣

We did the very same thing in Richmond’s Butler Bay, circa 1963-1980…lots of spectacular nights!

I haven’t lived on the peninsula for almost 20 years now...I know exactly where’s that spot, I’ve caught hella stripers there. We used to fish there every day after work. It’s been well over 20 years since I fished there. We would get em on white hair-raisers with red thread and a chartreuse worm tail...Good stuff.

@@TheFrogfeeder yea brother. They still troll back and forth on the other side of that riff raff . Saw some guys doing it today. Checkout my other video to see the big 32 inch Hal Bundy I caught from shore in that same spot last year. Thanks for watching brother.

Most people in the bay area just throw white swimbaits. I also like to use sp minnows and yo-zuri jerk baits. All around 4 inches.
