SPL PQ vs TOMO LISA vs KNIF SOMA vs AMEK250 MY VERDICT: I wanted to do this as a non talking video, but ended up blabbering a bit. Knif - the smoothest, Amek - most punch, Tomo - just does it all, and the dynamic EQ does wonders whether you expand, or compress, as in bringing life or stability to bottom or hi-frequency. And then there is PQ. It's clean, yet not sterile. The proportional Q (on or off) is a fantastic feature. It's also a lot of fun to handle. Something the Lisa lacks. And you can be ultra precise. Something the Knif lacks. So which one would I buy for $25 bucks, or even $50.... if I had to choose one? SPL PQ, followed by TOMO AUDIOLABS LISA. One thing tho - whichever you use. Learn them well. The frequencies are not the same, so when comparing, adjust by ear, as i did. The Q and the curves aren't the same either. The labels are not that important to me, but keep that in mind.
