After a nasty main line clog due to a severely backpitched section of pipe, it was decided to rip out all of the old, questionably installed DWV piping and replace it with new plastic. No more clogging and no more gurgling noises. Good to go! Thanks for watching!

As an electrician i really like the use of unistrut and clamps to support the pipe.. Not that i know anything about plumbing I also like the use of 45°s instead of 90°s where you offset or change direction. Flows better, flows quieter.

Very nice with the new ABS plastic drainage piping. I really like the black abs piping and fittings. Looks like you use BOW brand ABS piping and CANPLAS Zbrand abs fittings. I’m a plumber apprentice soon to be journeyman. We use a lot of PVC at the shop I’m at. I do miss working with the black ABS plastic.

Dude you do excellent work, I take pride in my work aswell but I’m going to say you go a step further than me but when I see your work it’s making me up my game aswell 😮 . Yeah code in my area allows me to use AAV’s on my plumbing system too and I agree it’s a great product to keep a lot of demolition from needing to be done.

You said it best... Seeing other people's good work really helps you step up your game. I think because in the field we only see crappy plumbing (pun?) So it just seems like nobody else gives a crap about their work... So it's a good nudge for us to take those little extra steps and make it on point. Great video.

Thanks for the reply on the laser and showing us how your laser works my lasers nether will allow me to put the Slope on my pipe but most of my tools are Milwaukee but my two lasers are Amazon specialties 😅 but I’ll definitely go get a Milwaukee this coming week thanks again my friend. And thanks for the videos.

Want to begin this with saying you are my favorite plumbing content creator on KZfaq. I love AAVs more than about anybody and fought for years with some of my mentors and just general old head plumbers on their efficacy, particularly laundry drains where they argued the pump would “lock the AAV up.” My last reservation on AAVs was venting a whole house with an AAV. I, too, am in an IPC state and code does state you need at least one vent to atmosphere. I’ve always thought that was a little overblown and wondered if you have vented other houses with just an AAV and had no negative effects? You guys do really clean work and I look forward to new content.

Thank you for the kind words! I have never personally plumbed anything with only AAV’s. I always try to get one vent to atmosphere to be by the book, but some of the homes I come across are SO poorly done, that it isn’t possible. I can only do what I can do. I’m sure having a 3” AAV as the main stack vent would work perfectly fine, I just haven’t had the chance to do it yet.

I’ve never plumbed or even seen a WHOLE house vented with an AAV alone. Not saying it can’t be done or won’t work though. Lately on new houses I’ve been running one main vent going out the roof that catches the bathrooms/laundry room and an AAV under the kitchen sink. Worked out great so far and haven’t been turned down by inspector

Really really nice work! Clean pre-planned lines without 800 fittings every which way until they fit. But a question: why do you consider letters out to be nicer? I would have expected hidden letters to be nicer.

For plumbing, we have copper tube size strut clamps and iron pipe size clamps. ABS/PVC/Cast Iron are “IPS” and use the same clamps as electrical conduit.

@@valenzaplumbing Oh. In Iowa I went to a plumbing shop looking for ABS and they did not even have any. Menards carries some ABS. But PVC is the main drain pipe material.
