Articulate into a flat foot to land, not landing flat footed. Articulation is key and forgotten.

Would he do these drills for youth? 8-11 yr olds to?

8-11 year olds are going to have the required mobility already. At that age it is best to work on body awareness whether that is spatial awareness, mind muscle connection, or energy system awareness through play-learning so that as they mature they are able to learn movements quickly. The hope would be that they would never have to do drills like these because they would already figure it out on their own.
