Singapore-Johore friendship will benefit the people of the two countries in different ways. I lived in Singapore in 1999 - 2001, 2004, 2008- 2011. I loved visiting Johore to shop as the mall.. There were some disturbing stories in The Straits Times newspaper about Singaporeans having weird problems at the check points. I visited a relative whose car was stolen from her front porch at 2.00 pm though her gates were locked! It seemed. the Chinese were having a hard time as most of the the crimes, eg.being stopped by the police and charged a fine for driving through an area suddenly blocked. I even heard that Trump had interfered and prevented some mainland Chinese buying the new condos in Johore Bahru! I nearly bought an amazing 2.5 bedrooms condo at... heights before they built the huge condo complex. I thought it would bee great working in Singapore and living in Johore. I love speaking Bahasa Melayu but fear of living alone and having to deal with other security issues ended my dream of living in paradise like Singapore with the guaranteed absolute safety for a single lady but which I cant afford. Johore is a different paradise, a sprawling lush green rich with the most exotic fruit like champedak, custard apples. pineapplrs, guavas, dukus, chikus, native durians and langsats... I pray, with the great love and grace of Sultan Ibrahim Iskandah Shah and Lee Hsien Lung that Johore is now a crime free safe haven. Blessings. ❤️🇲🇾🇨🇳🇹🇳🥰🎹☮️🕉️☯️☪️☸️❤️

The Sultan of Johore is a visionary man. He is the only malaysian who look upon Singapore as a friend, unlike those lying politicians and other heads of states. Those totally clogged in feudalism, racism and religion. Johore will benefit from Singapore and Singapore will benefit too thru this friendship, like the saying goes, it take 2 to tango. Imagine, Johore and Singapore combined can be a formidable driving force economically and socially and will bring both states to a new height.

Two neighbors already separated by a causeway, there is no more needs for any hostility or animosity among both government leaders. Superficially both are different country, but emotionally and personally, Singaporean n Johorean have a long history of tight kinship and close relationship dating back few century.🥰🥰

Clearly the sultan of Johor is a good builder of relationship with Singapore, as he have been a racial harmony of the Malay, Chinese and Indian in Johor. Chinese and Indian has enjoyed much freedom of choice of cultures, religion and languages under the Tuanku in Johor.

Yaa that's good....pls improve bus services for those whom travelling daily to work in Singapore....they contribute a lot in Johore's development. Most expensive houses are bought by those who work there. If there is another storm like Covid....pls think again ....our Malaysian has suffered gravely staying in Singapore for 2 and half years with heavy rental loads ....this is unforgettable for us....we are human too. Also hope our Sultan will take some actions to reduce the price of house in Jb.....not reasonable at all to make us pay like that.... Pls consider everything.....life is very difficult for us....we are earning in Singapore but ....the amount we pay for house is no words. Everyone has family and personal needs.....

I believe His Majesty's visit to Singapore is a warning shot to the weak Malaysia PM Ismail Yaakob. Tuanku just had enough of the circus by the past PH-led, PN-led and now Umno-led governments of Malaysia. Johor has been marginalized all this time. Even Tun M had tried to curtail Tuanku's powers. Singapore (formerly Tamasek) was part of Johor until Umno gave it away to the late PM Lee Kuan Yew, so it is only natural these 2 states have a close relationship.
