I'm currently waiting on mine. I used a midifighter 3D, launchpad mk2 and akai mini. Making this huge upgrade its already worth it seeing I already tested three Maschine mk3 already

So true, there are SO many great sounds with stock Mk3, that's one of the main selling points for me ... There is a bit of a learning curve with Mk3, But it's one of the best several hundred dollars (4-500 USD) I've ever spent, Hours, and hours of good times and good tracks, totally worth every penny , IMHO

One question I have is with regards to the performance effects and the ribbon. Can I set a different effect per pad and have them all work controlled by the one ribbon as I finger drum effecting each pad differently? EG: Filter on kick closes as reverb send on snare and glitcher effect on high hats mixes in?

Hi! Thanks for this video! I'm interested in NI hardware. It was recommended to me on an e-mail list for Reaper. I was told these keyboards are accessible for those of us that are blind. Is there an even more in-depth tutorial or further descriptions of the NI M32 and this Mark III? Thank you!!!!

is it much harder to learn on the mk3 than the mk2? thinking about upgrading from mk2 to mk3 but not sure if it's worth it. any help/insight would be greatly appreciated

Got a question: at 6:05, regarding condenser mics, you say "...you would have to have a seperate phantom power for that...". So, my question is how would you connect a condenser mic to it with phantom power, when phantom power usually comes from the interface/unit it's plugged into???

Hi iv got a mk3 machine and i updated my laptop while the mk3 was connected to my laptop now the pads are working but the screen will not light up so i can not use it any ideas how to rectifier it will be appreciated

Got the Komplete 11 Ultimate a couple of years ago, but as i dont have a good controller for it, i have been more focused on the Electribe 2 synth and sampler that i got that same time. Gonna order the Maschine MK3 next month, as the ultimate christmas gift for myself. Finally get past the limitations of the Electribes. But i really wish the MK3 would have more of the different scales included, like you get on the Komplete Kontrol keyboards and the Electribes... It should not be much work to update the software with these scales, so it almost seems like they are just being assholes holding out on people... Why do these companies never seem to try to make their gear the best they can be? Theres always some annoying limitations... Or have there come out a software update with more scales than what it came with previously?

how exactly is the daw-integration? (I use LPX) you keep mentioning it´s good but I didn´t get how it works.. great video

You can run Maschine as a VST plugin inside of your main DAW if you like. The controller can also be midi mapped and you can route maschine VST sounds/groups etc into tracks in your DAW giving you even more control. There are plenty of tutorials for routing maschine to most major DAWS on youtube. :)

Gareth McWilliam thank you, but I´m aware :) I think NI said something about the daw-integration being improved with this controller in one of their videos, but I haven´t seen or read anything about it

Can you audition sounds cue bus before playing live with headphone jack as I have read the headphones don't work if your using audio outs ? And if so why do they have headphones jack if you can't use both at once seems silly

You can't. The headphones are just for working on the road. The audio interfaces is quite simple, not a real substitute for a dedicated soundcard, just handy for mobile use.

You can specify the headphones as cue outs in the master channel. The every group or sound that you choose to be cued can be sent to the headphones.

Actually, you CAN'T. Because the headphone output and main output do NOT work simultaneously!

my only complaint is I think it should have been made a LARGER UNIT. There are many people that are over 6 feet tall that have large hands. That is my only complaint. Every knob and button needs more room.

great review .. cheers brother .... im wondering if i sell my maschine mk1 with its licence to upgrade to the mk3 will i lose all all the Ni sample packs iv'e brought along the way ?

I'll answer my own question . NO packs like my favourite Black arc is a separate serial number . Although i didnt know that i have now after selling my maschine mk1 and its serials , lost my Komplete 8 crossgrade and the komplete 9 upgrade from that as brought komplete 8 off the back of my maschine serial ( CROSSGRADE TRAP ) . Im wondering if elements is going to be enough for me as they want me to pay $100eu to buy my crossgrade serials back .(RANSOM) i really only use massive , kontact player and guitar rig

I sooo wish this was standalone as I thik id prefer this over the MPC Live. I hate using controllers and relying on software. Would have been sooo easy for them to add Solid state drive and have it all running off a linux based onboard OS. ...On another note... can the software be installed on multiple computers. I have laptop I use portable and PC for my home. So not much use if I can only install it on one device.

reggie gimmix They would've needed more space. You'd also need a processor and a motherboard. I can't see anything stand alone being less than $2,500.00

Yes. You need plenty of RAM and CPU power! I own Komplete ultimate for a year now and I think, although quite a lot of money is involved, it's the best value for your money. I've used other controllers and commercial VST's as well, but this is something in a different league. So, if you're into music, start working and saving your money and directly go for the best out there.

Looks like another Arturia Spark but with bigger tits and bottom. It relies on computer drivers, as soon as NI stops s/w development it's a brick. It's a midi ctl'er, plain and simple.
