Eknath Easwaran used to teach the story about the elephant and the stick, the mantra being the stick that focuses our minds. It's a powerful image that never left me. Thanks for your videos!

Hi Brian, Namaste. Thank You. I have taken 180 Philosopher notes package from Mind Valley about a year ago. I have been listening to them almost every alternate day for past 1 year of my life. And several books as per your recommendations. Your insights , nuggets of wisdom have helped me change and become a better person. This is one of my favorite books and you have made a great summary of this book. I wish I can buy the rest of the new notes too :) Thank you. May you keep sharing your words of wisdom and help us optimize our lives. Regards Rohit

Thank you Stephen. I find myself on the cusp of self-realization and then I let my ego self-destruct. But right now I am focusing on my diet, eating raw and getting my health optimal. I have epilepsy. Then I want to start digger deeper and realizing my true purpose. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. And I will be watching more of your videos :) Hari Om!!! ~TJ

Torah; Noble Eightfold Paths; Bhagavad Gita, New Testament, and many philosophers address these issues in a similar manner. First, surrender to something greater than yourself (get rid of your ego). Second, focus on the present second, minute, hour, and day. Third, BE DISCIPLINED IN ALL AREAS OF LIFE! Establish rituals, habits, and fundamentals! GREAT VIDEO! In another matter, what is up with the change in burpees? I know you could perform three hundred burpees in one day. To be able to perform two hundred plus burpees, on consecutive days, requires some serious intestinal fortitude! I know you have the intestinal fortitude. I just wanted you to inspire myself (Yes, I am being selfish!) and others! I respectfully request you to reconsider your burpees protocol?

Yehuda HaMaccabi hahahaha. 185 was good enough for me to demonstrate the awesome. And 300 was the goal so I feel complete. I have a very systematic approach to my days and my creative production is the most important so it's all about creating the right conditions to live my dharma. ;)

***** Thank you for your reply. I accidentally strained the tendons in the back of my legs; therefore, my daily burpee regiment has been put on hold! I was hoping to get some inspiration from Guru Swole! Congratulations on reaching your goal! You were suppose to make a video!
