3 looked more sophisticated to me, almost like a Chanel tweed background, with subtle stripes in the foreground. Should look beautiful as a whole garment.

#3 looks more modern, #4 looks more vintage. Both are lovely. I’d knit #3 but my knitting tension is so tight I struggle to pry my needles apart, lol. Looking forward to finding out your decision and your Sweetly Dreaming blanket is what sweet dreams are made of!

I think option 4 looks the best. It is brighter and more defined in my opinion. The other appears to be more washed out but the colors blend well into each other. Decisions,decisions

I like number 4. I think it is a less jarring combination. It will be pretty no matter what you decide.

Hi Sandra, I think number 4 is best. I like the clarity of the colours without any one dominating. Hope that helps.

Definitely option 4!! The other choice looks a bit wishy-washy but the predominant blue really works well.

Very difficult choice but I think option 3 because the pink stripe looks a little more muted and marled where option 4 looks like three solid stripes of colors. Hope I’m making sense 😂Both are nice though!

Hi Sandra, always a lovely show, thank you. Lykke is a danish word and means happiness. Y is pronounced as the German ü (lükke) ☺️. 3 or 4, both are good and nice ☺️. Happy choosing. Greetings from Denmark

I think I prefer option 3 but I'd bring the grey to the front of all the stripes so the overall garment looks muted and dusky - whatever you do will come out lovely, your makes always do! ☺

I prefer 3 because it feels more cohesive. But 4 does pop the pink more.

Option 3 the pink disappears. Option 4 the colours give definite stripes but definitely would leave out the speckled pink! If you want four colours, any slightly darker shade of any of the three would blend in - I think!

I liked option 4 the best. It makes the pink really stand out as an individual color. The pink was washed out in the other options where it blended with the blue and grey.

I'm choosing #4. The contrast seems better. However, you are great with color, so whatever you choose will be beautiful!💜 I can't believe there is a cardigan with my name! As a child, I could never find anything with my name on it.

I always like your color choices. I liked option 4 the best. I think it will result in a garment you will want to wear. I understand why you tested the variegated yarn, but, because it is a different yarn weight and does not knit as you would like, I say option 4! Best of luck with the project!

Sometimes when I’m trying to make a decision like this I will put my options in a room that I visit very often. When I walk into the room and look around to see which one has that little extra sparkle. I’m sure you’ll make a great decision all your options are very lovely. I hope you have a great weekend☀️

Thanks lovely, so kind of you to keep coming back. ☺️ Yes I’ve left them for a bit and have come back to them and I think now that I’m basically finding it hard because it’s a fight between my head and my heart. And possibly having a different pink to throw in the mix!! 🤣❤️

Hi Sandra. I've never done colour work although it's something I want to try soon. So, to answer your question, I would say option 4 is best but the blue and grey are so similar they seem to be the same colour although that may be what you're after. Also, thanks for sharing your old patterns as I didn't know them and the blankets have caught my eye 😊

Yes I think 4 definitely makes the stripes more prominent which I’m not sure I want, although it is how the pattern is I guess! 🤷‍♀️❤️

Hi Sandra. I have been unable to comment on KZfaq. I wanted to say how much I enjoyed the Iceland video. In 3 years, we have our 40th anniversary. We plan to repeat our honeymoon which was in Iceland. I love the yarn you brought back and the sweater is coming along so quickly. It is beautiful! I can see your dilemma with the colors for the cardigan. I am not a lover of blue. That said, I am crocheting a denim blue t-shirt at the moment. Humm ... Maybe I do like blue. 😂 I think 4 seems to have a little more balance. Even though there is more pink in 3, it jumps out as an accent on 4 more. Good luck with your options. Go with your heart! It's coming out lovely, and for the color choices I think the green is to deep of a color. Maybe a lighter hew of green? Good luck. I'm sure what ever you choose will be so lovely as always ❤❤❤

My immediate reaction re the colour scheme: ditch the second pink for sure, in colour and weight grounds. I would use the blue - PLEASE keep the blue! - and the grey as the two pinks have been used in the original. And yes the yellow. So I guess either of your final two choices. Both good! 😂 Lovely to see a post from you, I love my Cherry Heart colour fix!😄

Hello there Sandra - don’t we all get ourselves into some pickles over our choices !!😂 I liked number 3 but then when you popped up number 4 that really decided me - I love the more dominant role of the pink ❤ the darker pink is very pretty but I think I’d steer clear of it in this project as it’s thinner and has the brown through it whereas the other colours are solid 😊good luck!

Lovely jumper, Sandra - it will be gorgeous on you. The cardigan... It seems to be stressing you out quite a bit...🤔 Sometimes the "idea" of a pattern becomes quite different when it starts to appear in real life. Perhaps you should set it aside for a while and see if you still like the thought of it. Should you decide not to bring it to fruition, those wools you bought for it would be beautiful in a multicoloured. piece, for they look lovely side by side with each other - less so (in my eyes) when blended together in that brioche. However, whichever outcome you choose, as long as you have pleasure in the making and in the wearing, that is the main thing. So, enjoy! I've been trying to decide which of your blankets to crochet for such a long time... The trouble is, they are all lovely😍 I'll make my mind up one of these days. The "Sweetly Dreaming" is calling to me😂

Yes that’s the thing, sometimes the mind’s eye and reality don’t quite line up and then that’s when I have these little dilemmas. Albeit minor and quite pleasant dilemmas! ☺️❤️

Love, love, love watching another person's creative process😊 It's never a straight line is it? Your patterns are so lovely and the garments are gorgeous. As regards your color question, I guess it depends on if you prefer a heathery look (3) or a more solid look (4). Take care.

Thank you again for the time and effort you put into sharing Iceland! It was spectacular! I just finished your Moonlit Shawl and it turned out so nice. I was inspired by Ali and Franny theirs were so pretty and Ali wears her first one so often. I like the brighter pink but I don’t like how the splashes look knit in the brioche. I like #4!!

I felt like you had made your decision just by explaining the options to us. Option 3 is a more subtle arrangement and would be my choice, whereas option 4 has more defined stripes in the fabric. Having this number of options would drive me crazy and I would probably be more rash in my decision, whereas you really take the time to decide, hence, why your work is always outstanding and beautiful.

Personally 3 works better otherwise for me 4 stands out as more stripes than blocks. Probably why SOSU uses a darker pink as well. As with brioche if you’re background is light the colour with it works better with more of a contrast. So yes for me 3 works better. Shame you haven’t got the speckle pink as plain as that pink would work well. Long rambling sorry. Good luck!🫣🫶🏼

Yes I think 4 definitely shows the stripes more distinctly, I think you are right on the choices for the pattern too. If only I had noticed at the time, it seems and looks obvious I look again! ❤️
