You could put a knitted colored button at the center of the pillow piece, to cover the colors not lining up .

Absolutely love your podcast. One suggestion on small needles. Be careful about using them for your second sleeve as I find that with the small circumference needles, the gage changes quite a bit from the gage with magic loop. I think I would continue the second sweater with the same technique as the first and save the small needles for another project. Diane

I actually recommend measuring about triple the length of the swatch for the yarn when you make it to the end of the row. Then instead of leaving it dangling behind the swatch, knit the yarn you measured, so you'll have a short loop at the end and no yarn dangling at the back. On the next row, you'll knit from your ball of yarn again. And then repeat - measure the yarn and knit the measured part. I found this to work out better for getting a flat in the round swatch since the strands at the back can skew the gauge.

I’m knitting the DRK Everyday Sweater now! The pattern is really nice/easy to follow and it is turning out beautifully.😊 I’m really happy with the fit after a few less successful knits. I just have the bottom ribbing left. The colour you chose is beautiful. Can’t wait to see yours!

I think I would try duplicate stitching in the dark green on the tan triangle, so it looks like it lines up

Hello Amy! Love your Stella cushion! The thing with joining the triangles is definitely something that is happening to me in the Sweet shop: I reckon the first couple of squares it was probably me just not paying attention to when I picked. It is funny you mention this today too. Although to be honest, if you hadn’t said it I wouldn’t have noticed it at all 🤩 Also big respect to you with the Aurelia pullover 🫡

When you finish the front, weigh it then subtract what you used on the colors to give you how much you used of the cream yarn.

I find my usage varies quite a bit between Magic circle and short needles. I’m interested to hear whether that happens for you and what you do to compensate.

About the DRK Everyday sweater, that was the 2nd sweater I ever made, so I wasn't very experienced at that point. I found it hard to make the M1 increase stitches without leaving big holes. (Maybe I should have pulled the yarn tighter?) I didn't realize it was a problem until the sweater was done, and the yarn didn't bloom in blocking to fill the holes. So, I would recommend trying out another increase method, like lifted increases or M1Rs, if you have this problem too. (BTW, another knitter on Ravelry said she avoided this issue by going up a needle size for each single row before an increase row, to "allow more space for the increases," which worked for her.)

You could do just a bit of duplicate stitching in the middle join. I'm doing the Sweet Shop Blanket, and it is tough to get things lined up. :)

I really enjoy your podcasts AND I'm loving all your wips. If you hadn't mentioned the tiny "off" at the centre of your Stella cushion I would never have noticed it. Once it's over a "fat" cushion and sitting on your furniture NO ONE will notice it ... unless you point it out to them. Enjoy!

Using shorti can change your gauge! I wish I don't know this... I made two sleeves with different needle, those two were different in width and length too,,, If I were you, I would like to use same niddle that used for other sleeve...

Not telling the downside of the Fluff yarn until after the sponsorship is over is a very quick way to lose trust because it tells me as a viewer that you won't tell me the whole story with products you're sponsored by. You may want to think about that in the future

I’m not going to disagree with you because the timing isn’t great. However, shedding is normal for alpaca yarns so I just assumed it was a white shedding monster. But it will be a very warm scarf that will eventually stop shedding.

Understood, not mentioning before was truly me forgetting and by no means intentional based on the sponsorship. I often forget details on all of my projects while filming that often don’t get mentioned until later videos, this specific project was not the first time that has happened. But I see how it can be viewed when partnering with brands and I will put in an effort to not forget details for future projects! I will add that I noticed it more as this project was getting close to being finished because I had more fabric moving around and in my workspace while knitting it than at the start of the project.

@@neknits That makes sense, it's what I honestly figured happened, it's just one of those things you really have to be careful about because it looks bad if it's a pattern
