Not sure about Canada, but America is a CONSUMER nation. When we were there for the month, I noticed we didn’t impulse buy or spend just to spend. Not sure if it’s a fair look given we were only there for a month. I’m over the consumerism and the keeping up with the Jones’ mentality here. Great podcast guys! I’m Canadian from London Ontario and I love the podcasts and videos you make. My wife and I are retired and for the last 2 years we have spent a few months in Playa del Carmen during the winter months and we have noticed the tourists that seem to enjoy being negative. We love the vibe there and getting to know locals and other travellers- I wish people coming down would just accept how grateful they are to be there!

My family is French Canadian and we all live in BC now! English is fine! hahaha! My parents barely remember French anymore! It has been many many years! Thank you for the great info and content! We just got home from Mazatlan 2 days ago, and I miss it already! But it's good to get back to the routine again! Noticed a bit of a price increase and our maintenance fee went up for our place in Maz. So it's happening everywhere. I honestly was figuring there would be some sort of increase soon. It is ok though, as the increases in Canada, BC is what I know, are happening as of tomorrow! Pretty gross and can't wait to move to Maz! Anyway, have a great one guys! 💜☺

Hi, Would you please do a video on how you set up your finances prior to leaving Canada? Do you manage your own investments, and if so, who is your brokerage firm? ...or did you hand everything over to a wealth management firm? How do you transfer money to Mexico? Are you withdrawing directly from a Canadian institution via debit cards as needed, do you do regular monthly transfer from your Canadian bank, or do you use a third party service like Transfer-wise? Is your Canadian financial institution withholding 15% or 25% for non Canadian tax residents in Mexico? Could you offer your experience with filing taxes in Mexico as an ex-pat? I understand that Mexico taxes worldwide income. How does it work with Canadian RRSP and TFSA accounts? Do report capital gains and dividends inside those accounts to Mexico only when you make withdrawals? Thanks

In places like Thailand, they are having de-flation. You can stay in a nice hotel there for a month and your bill would be $400. So to live in a country like that it would cost you about $1,000/month. For everything. They are wrong about inflation being global.

I think mostly I was asking if you had much feedback on people having problems with the groups of people in a residential community but I’m sure they’re all different and have their own issues.you’re right I don’t believe that the Hoa fees are too much compared to what you would pay in the United States or Canada. One thing I honestly felt offended about is seeing Canadian and Quebec flags hung EVERYWHERE. My mom and aunts live, as permanent residents in the La Marina Condominiums across from walmart and Sams, and from November to May, the Canadians TAKE OVER. There is never any space at the pool and honestly, you feel like an intruder because you are the only outsider. They all speak French they have loud parties everynight and are up early and back out at the pool by 9am. There are 50 of them and they bring their culture with them and it takes away from experiencing Mexico for what it is when there are a sea of old white people everywhere who are not friendly and are very clique-ish. Puerto Vallarta is a place where you will be greeted ALLDAY, EVERYDAY regardless of what language you speak, and honestly it is apart of what makes PV so special, the love and hospitality felt from and to EVERYONE. But here come the canadians and they kill those special vibes with their closed in unfriendly ways. Im black American, and I am taught from birth that when you pass in someone’s path, greet them, walk in a room greet everyone. But with Canadians, of course not all, but definitely most of the older ones you can make eye contact and greet them in English, French AND Spanish and will be blatantly ignored. Sorry for the rant guys, and this is not racially motivated at all, but culturally. They are more cold people, I said it 🤷🏽‍♀️
@Morelifediaries
@Morelifediaries 4 ай бұрын
My assumption is that those people don't care to be in Mexico...even less about mexicans - they're here because of convenience and that's very unfortunate. Living here for over a year now we can say that the culture has taught how to be better people and better parents! I wish everyone visiting could experience what we've experience and take it back home with them! Regarding the flags - I feel like putting any flag above the national flag is highly disrespectful no matter what country you're in! Also makes life a lot easier for thief's lol

I doesn't really matter who it is - the arrogance and negativity of people that travel in general is the issue independant of they're from! In PV, a lot of them just happen to be from Canada Lol Our experience and the one of canadian friends living in condo's is very similar to Kenias.
