Toxic is a grade A pop tune. Love it

If you are truly a musician, go dissect the song blank space. It's an absolute masterpiece of Pop functionality. I've been producing records for 40 years and it's just off the charts. Fucking good

He's spot on. For many years I thought I was cooler and better than people who likes to pop🤦♀️ I only listenend to some singer/song writers, rock, metal myself. Glad I grew up and now I listen to all genres. Life is much more fun that way! Toxic is a great song btw!

This is just the opposite extreme, it’s also bad. The moment you pretend Reggaeton adds anything of value to the world it’s over
@NSixtyFour6 ай бұрын
He isn't spot on. She never wrote toxic. The original demo is actually so good that you would swear that Britney added nothing to her version. This guy has a point, but it's kind of funny listening to an acclaimed artist not even knowing the music he claims to enjoy listening to. Him acknowledging other artists just adds to the pain of it. Like imagine hypothetical if YOU made toxic, and they just give her all the credit in the video. But that's just the reality. Nobody knows the version that Cathy Dennis made. Sure it happens a lot in music, but in this particular case it's different. You listen to the demo and it's pretty clear that the Britney spears put no effort into that song 😂.
@didybopintitys6 ай бұрын
@@treesome3979 that’s the point to get across, it’s not extreme because it’s also you’re choice to only be in your little bubble of what you like, but at the very least acknowledging other genres and their influences on one another is important for one’s self growth as an artist imo at least, it’s like with painting even if you only have a couple of colors you like as favorites it doesn’t hurt to have more and expand your palette to choose from
@treesome39793 ай бұрын
@@didybopintitys I get your point but to me Reggaeton is not music. To use your comparison, if metal music is painting with brushes, pop is colored pencils and rap is handprints on a white canvas, all perfectly acceptable art methods. Reggaeton would be throwing a bucket of melted cheese on the ground and somehow pretending it’s on the same level as the other two. Also maybe you get a Latina twerking on the cheese.

@NSixtyFour6 ай бұрын
The original demo of that song was made by a real artist. Britney spears may as well not have been involved with that song. If not for her infamy, it probably would have ended up as an obscure(although well loved) tune.
