Last night I was breeding one of my Poecilotheria Ornata females. Things were going great when out of nowhere the female chowed down on the male. This is something I never wish to happen, but when breeding spiders it is a harsh reality. The female ate the male after close to half a dozen insertion attempts by the male. I’ll be looking for another mature male shortly. This is sad but things happen, may his genetics live on! Let’s hope for a sac tarantula family!
