So I made this in another video, but I don't want my work to go to waste. I have an INSANE theory. SALTBAKER IS THE GOD. I think the Moon God that you mentioned in the Beppi video waged an all-out war with the people of Inkwell Isles with the help of his 3 commanders: Beppi, Hilda Berg, and Mortimer Freeze. Some of the warriors of the good side included the dish statues, Ms. Chalice, who died in the war, and Elder Kettle's ancestors. Working together, they destroyed the Moon God and his particles scatter. This is where Saltbaker comes in. He walks by centuries later and sees the particles. Believing it was salt that he dropped, he puts the particles in and and is then possessed by the god. He then manipulates the cups to make the Wondertart and gain back control of the Astral Plane. Mortimer Freeze, who turned over a new leaf, tries to stop them, using the tarot cards to tell them everything. Someone else said this part about the cards that the sun meant it was great to have a new friend, the moon meaning that Saltbaker (AKA the Moon God's host) is tricking them, and the swords meant that he would try to kill the cups and everyone on Inkwell Isle. The trio defeat Saltbaker and the Moon God, sending the god to the astral plane. Saltbaker does the community service and becomes great friends with the cups. The. End.

You know how the dwarves would sing as they work in the original Snow White film? What if the gnomes have settled the mountains for generations and Glumstone is almost like a figure of worship to them, waking up periodically and presumably getting up to Tom foolery (much to the gnome’s implied amusement, as they never seem anything other than happy and unafraid around him)? Maybe he tells the stories of old (possibly including stories about the devil himself) to each new generation of gnomes who might in turn update him on the modern world, or even sing about current life to the sleeping giant as they work and live around/inside him

one of the things i find real intresting is how in the third phase where you go inside one of the attacks is the gnomes in scuba gear shoting darts at you while swimming in Glumstone's stomach acid. That implies that the gnomes at least a few times before had gone inside Glumstone and possibly came back out. Prehaps it's so that the gnomes can poke threw what Glumstone has swallowed for anything of value or maybe to help Glumstone if he gets something stuck inside him. It is real facinating to imagine how these gnomes and Glumstone could work and live with each other

Make a theory on kings leap, these guys literally live in the sky and only let the cups on their land. How are some of their body parts parryable, and why does the king give the cups extra money for beating up his wife. My theory: You know the parryable mushroom Saltbaker uses to turn big and powerful, I think he got that from the kings leap and he was about to bake the wondertart but the kings leap and the others like Esther, Glumstone, Moonshine mob, Mortimer and Howling aces helped defeat him. But the kings leap lost lots of people and went to live in the sky, meanwhile the isle residents looked after the ingredients so he couldn't bake the tart. And when the cups came along, the kings leap made them earn money so they can buy things like weapons, charms, and other stuff so they could be strong enough to beat Saltbaker. And in the epilogue the king comes down beleiving everything was now safe.

Something you haven't considered is the leitmotif connections in cuphead's soundtrack. As it turns out, almost every song, dlc and trailers included, are interconnected. I couldn’t find anything really of note in Glumstone's theme other than his motif in phase 2 of Saltbaker's theme and part of it resembling the root pack, but I could be missing something.

Maybe the berries get their power from Glumstone himself. Think about it: He's a giant, a being capable of living for a very, very long time; possibly via stone sleep. It could be growing food on his mountain form or near it could transfer magical properties to anything that grows there. Thinking specifically a form of preservation magic. If the wondertart needs a stabilizing agent to keep someone alive, Glumstone seems to possess that kind of powerful magic.

cuphead theory: King dice is the son of glumstone and the queen of hearts, which is why the king wants you to beat his wife and why king dice is so big.

Mortimer is a man that ascended to cult leader to nirvana-edging deity, while Glumstone is a mascot derived from mining life. Alright, this is a repost of my old comment for anyone who was interested: Hello Internet! Welcome to INTERNET THEORY! I am back and please ignore those two lines! So here's the thing, I have managed to piece together a possible explanation as to what the Astral Dishes are, and what their story is! The most notable thing you'll see when you use the exclusive to Ms. Chalice-third super art is that same yellow glow that we've seen in many Astral-related things in Cuphead, and then you'll notice the dishes that don't seem to have that same glow, but rather they look exactly like The Ghost in Phantom Express! But what does this mean? Well think about it, the warriors don't have any yellow glow, and they only show up when Chalice, using the astral abilities she gained from the cookies, summons them! So it appears to me that they do not posses the same astral abilities, and they do not show an interest in coming to the isles unless Chalice, their leader, orders them to do so! Now that explains what the Super Art means, but what is their story? I have an answer for that too; After some investigating, I think I know what the Astral Warriors' story is! The most obvious thing to note is how they have statues of them put everywhere! So that means that they're historical figures to the fourth Inkwell Isle! Now, why would they be so well known? Well, the Astral War is the reason! Although I agree with the fact that The Astral Warriors fought something that was linked to the Astral Moon, I don't think it was the Astral Moon that they fought! I believe that The Astral War was a war between The Astral Warriors and the Astral Worshippers! Now, I believe so due to one factor, The Mausoleums! Let me explain; The Mausoleums hold Container Vases that hold an Astral Super Art for each Mausoleum. And how else would those abilities end up in there, other than the Astral Moon securing those abilities in the Mausoleums! But then, what about the ghosts, why are they protecting them, and why are they pink? I have an answer for that too! Firstly, I believe that the ghosts are the chosen Astral War, Astral Moon worshippers that did the most they could during the war, so the most talented ones! That would explain why they're in the Mausoleums and why they're protecting the abilities. I have reasons to believe that The Astral Moon granted them the ability to interact with everything, and not just things that they died with, unlike the war weapons and the magnifying glass that the detective ghost holds. This would be in exchange for the risk of being killed very easily, as seen and symbolised by the parry moves and the pink look! I also believe that the Inkwell Isles were once a complete island, before being split into four by the Astral Moon, who wanted to end the war, as it's army was losing! The split caused the two war warrior groups to split, ending the war! The warriors then died some time after, due to many different unspecified reasons. This made it possible for the Astral Moon to select some of the best warriors to give limited astral control to. The Moon told the warriors to build containers, disguised as Mausoleums, where the Abilities would be hidden in. Because the containers looked like Mausoleums, and they were filled with ghosts, nobody ever dared to enter them! Let me know what you think of this theory! can we see a theory video about how Mrs chalice used to be a warrior, but then gave up to go to the astral plane? This could also symbolize how in rugged ridge, we don’t see any defenders trying to protect the land, maybe symbolizing how Mrs Chalice was the only warrior that was actually good? We know she has powers to go to the dead, or stay alive. This would make sense because it’s clear at some point, she gave up on her warrior duties and quit, making monsters like the cyclops having a perfect place to go to. It may be also pointed at how these monsters may have killed lives and stolen stuff from people across the isles. We see a statue that looks oddly familiar to a coin that we see in Isle 1. Could this be a family member that was killed in battle, and that’s why the coin is so grumpy when we talk to him, further more having trauma from the very day his possible brother was killed? All of this needs to be answered.

Hey Pogobro, you should do a lore video on King Dice and The chess King, cause there's definitely some connectsions to them, a channel called Wyrd bean or Wyrd lore did a video on it,but didn't really theorize about the evdence, so in inkwell hell the casino has chess pieces on it and the bottom of the kings courts hub place has cracks in it, like it was once ripped from the ground, and the kings court always felt like a needful version of the king dice boss. Maybe connects to the cup war in rugged ridge ?

It's interesting how the DLC bosses have magical powers despite not making deals with The Devil. With the main game bosses it's implied they got their power from their deals, but the DLC bosses just seem to have them. Perhaps this could be because they have natural power over the Astral Plane? ok sorry this is kinda late but i rewatched your mortimor freeze lore vid and i thought the bucket that the cult members wear and ALSO the snow golem wears (remember that for later) can be a way for mortimer to tag the members of the cult. Example, you know in finding dory, dory gets an ORANGE tag, like the ORANGE bucket the members wear ALSO the golem. This could mean 2 things, that whoever wears the bucket is turened into some sort of living snow thing, or the longer and more loyal of a cult member you are, that means you will be sacrificed to something.
