Something about the announcer saying: "The stage is set and the curtains are up! The blue corner makes the FIRST attack!" feels so god damn satisfying to me and idk why

Isn't it funny how the Pokeball Throw animations in this game are actually better than the current ones in Scarlet and Violet today?

There's a lot of animations better in this game. One of the reasons I remember hearing is that these are better looking partially because they get a lot more time. Adding the time to the throwing animations, fainting animations, and attack animations would make the game a lot slower.

I remember when this game came out, Alot of people hated the animations cause they "Took too long" So you aren't wrong. Felt like I was the only one as a kid who loved them@@Auke1993

@Auke1993 Maybe but now that we can turn off certain animations I'd say maybe reserve ones like fainting animations for say tournaments. I think it's a great addition as a spectator.

26:04 That Feraligatr is one of the worst cases of RNG ever. Mans got flinched and burned in back to back turns. DD sweep got shut down twice by bad luck

I commend you for giving your trainer a full clothing set. It’s not something most of PBR players do. You’re a legend And Weavile is the favorite Pokémon of a former colleague of mine Also, 17:39 2 Arcanine

I try to use different clothing sets each time. And if I make them after a specific character, I try to dress them up similarly.

Pokémon models, attack visual effects, lighting, visual style, UI, EVERYTHING about this game looks better than Scarlet and Violet. On a system way weaker than the Switch

Some things look better on the Switch I'd say, but I do agree that quite a lot of animations are superior here. The focus was clearly elsewhere when making the Switch games.

8:32 Toasty!! I laughed the first time I saw this in Pokemon Stadium. Although I highly doubt it's Hisuian form wouldn't have that same expression if it was added back then.

The custom pokeball animations were so beautiful I got I to catching everything in a matching pokeball since this game and Colosseum and XD

I stream/record it in high quality, and after editing select options to keep it looking great, effectively. I wish I could make it be 60fps, that would be even better-looking.

More unique animations, more animated and "alive" models, character customization, the bright, poppy color palette Gens 3-5 were so well known for (everything now is so washed out and dull), better move animations, beautiful backgrounds, cleaner UI, and even the detail of a Pokemon's HP going down with an animation that matches the type of move that hit it. What happened? I know there's more Pokemon now, there are more moves, and the dev time is shorter (by the Pokemon Company's own lazy choice), but damn. This game was just a hidden treat lol.

@@Auke1993 Me too. I'd love for them to take a little extra time polishing up the game, and to put some of that war chest of money they make every year into making the games as good as possible. Imagine a mainline Pokemon game that had this level of care put into it with an explore-able over world. And an OST this good. I forgot about the OST. This is one of the best in the series lol. That'd basically be my dream Pokemon game.

Do you check the moves before you select? The moves for your Pokémon.

I usually check the moves of the Pokémon if I use any Pokémon owned by the opponent. I know my own movesets, and can view them outside PBR as well.

Some of them were, some were certainly new. I know a good amount of the models were taken from Stadium 2, but polished.

I don't mind seeing a few reused animations every now and then. I'd rather see that than really good animations being cut like in SV. Rip Cinderace's Pyro Ball animation
