Pokémon Emerald Rogue Hardcore Nuzlocke - My First Ever Attempt!
This ROM hack has been making the rounds over the past few months, and after hearing about non-stop, I finally decided to give in and try it out. And to be honest, it was awesome! I'm not the best at rogue likes, but it was still plenty of fun!

Hardcore Nuzlocke Rules:
1) Only Catch The First Pokémon On Each Route
2) If A Pokémon Faints, I Cant Use Them
3) No Items In Battle
4) Set Mode
5) No Over Leveling

I'm not an expert in this game, but after the first completed run, now you should have unlocked the possibility to use mons from all gens, also the gym leaders now include all gym leaders, not just those from hoenn.

Yes that is correct. You unlock the secret area and can change all sorts of features. You can actually access that room from the very start as well, in case you want to change stuff around early.

Wow Heracross' back must hurt from carrying the team so hard😂 Awesome video! I actually had Miltank on my first playthrough, and she was my MVP! I had a Skarmory as a starter and paired with Miltank, they were a strong core that carried me far.

Poor heracross. But yeah miltank was a huge boon for my team. Most of the major fights she didn’t contribute a ton, but in minor battles she was often my go to pivot

If the franchise actually existed... I'd be a fighting type specialist and my signature pokemon would be (non-mega) Heracross! I love the ability: Guts and my favorite of all items are the: Assault Vest! My moveset would be = #1. Brick break (gym's signature move) #2. Aerial ace #3. Rock slide #4. Megahorn It's just an awesome pokemon!! Side note > Swampert by the way is my all time favorite of any starter in the whole franchise!!! Yippee

As a water type main, I truly love Swampert. But a Shell Smash + Baton Pass Huntail or Gorebyss is something I would really like to see in a Nuzlocke once.

Shell smash is pretty insane. I did use a shell smash polteageist in my Clive run, and that was fun. With that move, I might actually like huntail lol

Wow tough times in this challenge! But I don't really understand why Steven Metagross didn't have... And why Mew or Mewtwo? Tate and Liza should have been with them! But really powerful moves in this game! I would say that weak Pokemon, like glass cannons like Alakazam or frail ones like nincada or Shedinja certainly shouldn't be in this game! Definitely not the right place for some Pokemon!

I downloaded it yesterday and have gotten to the champion every time lol but thats what happens when the first time you boot it up you roll a snorlax lol I keep losing right at the end though, need to build better for drake who keeps ruining me before the champ. Apparently I need a Heracross.

Not true they purposely gave his pokemon HP grass, just so he could kill swampert, and unfortunately quagsire too. I haven't really played pokemon since gen 6 so i didn't know that gengar doesn't have levitate anymore. And it still gets me sometimes.

Hey, I said by the end of the week. I’ve still got a few days here! It’s basically done actually. I was considering spending some time to make the backspirte better than the one I had in the original video, but real life happened and has dramatically taken away my KZfaq time. So the battle backsprite will probably be real crappy. Or I could leave it as the green character if you want.
