The writers for Hoenn really lost it here. Kanto was the first season and they were experimenting, so no one really cared that Ash almost didn't fight to earn his badged. But over here, specially after the great battles in Johto, they were just mocking us. The one hit defeat of all Wattson's pokemon, the necessity of rematch against Browly, the incredible strategy of Flannery of calling the Slugma AFTER the Macargo as the finishing pokemon... and the list goes on

You are right, how can electric Pokemon get so much damage from electric attack and it One hit ko. And also the ability of Pokemon are neglected there like flame body , sturgi ability, how the Pokemon can be so slow that the altariya is defeated by low level Pokemon 😵 what in the world this makers have taken as drugs or alcohol or weed.
