The fact that drowzee’s German name sounds similar to “traumatic” just made me lose it, it’s so fitting and it’s hilarious Also I understand the feeling of having a Pokémon you love be in platinum then get cut from BDSP, I was so upset that Espeon wasn’t available until postgame without trades that I’m doing a psychic type run and bringing an Eevee into Shining Pearl just so I can use one on my team as my ace (hopefully Mew and Jirachi won’t have to be on the final team since they are too good and it would be boring)

I would say that Yungoos, Meowth, and Rattata probably eradicated the Alolan mammal. There was probably no natural predator Pokemon for the Alolan Mammal and as such, was eliminated by the imported animals hunting them to extinction (namely Rattata consuming their food sources and Yungoos and Meowth hunting them at large).

I think the meme was implying it was very much like how Hawaii simply doesn't have a native predatory land mammal species and all predatory mammals there are imported and destroying the native bird population, and thus the bird Pokemon native to Alola are being predated by the non-native species on track for an extinction, and that there are other native species of bird Pokemon that were extinct by the time of the games.

🤷‍♂️ anime, man. The diamond and pearl anime will always be my favorite pokemon anime. 1.) Nostalgia. It was the first one I was ever able to watch start to finish as it came out. 2.) PAUL. Paul is far and away my favorite ash rival, and the progression of chimchar is incredible. 3.) Ash has Torterra, my 5th favorite pokemon. 4.) Every Gym leader fight felt fantastic. 5.) Dawn is my favorite of ash's female companions, and the contests this time around are arguably far better than the Hoenn ones.

Honestly I wouldn't have even minded it if it weren't for the fact that they freaking got rid of contests! And don't you try telling me "they still have contests it's just a little different now!" because they really might have well have completely scrapped them because they got rid of all the fun parts! The contests have always been my favorite part of the games that they were in and the lack of the fun parts just makes me sad...

3:32 Then again, it makes sense that Alola lacks a native regional mammal. Hawaii only has two endemic mammal species - the hoary bay and monk seal - and the state is heavily impacted by invasive species. It would make sense for two invasive Pokémon to be featured for it.

Just to note, I think in the anime, "immunity" just means "super resist" and there is a limit.. Pikachu actually charged itself up with extra power before the battle over powering the "super resist"

3:36 might be a reference to when people attempt to get rid of invasive species by adding their natural predator only for that predator to attack native species instead because they're easier targets. For those who don't know the Sand Attack meme uses a clip from the Japanese TV series Kamen Rider Geats(this year's Rider). Geats is the one firing the gun and the character doing "The Worm" is called Kamen Rider Gazer. Edit: the character saying "Unfortunately for you, I don't take orders." Is BloodStalk/BloodStark from 2017's Kamen Rider Build. Edit2: as pointed out by a couple of people in the Geats clip it's Kamen Rider Glare 2 doing the worm not Gazer

I don't know the time stamp in the video, however when Michael mentioned an amalgamation of slacking and crab as a variant of the sloth Pokemon slacking, I busted up laughing. the usage of the comedy bonk gong, when the crown at that same point, sold it for me. the editing for these videos, is awesome, I give much respect to the editor of these entertaining and hilarious videos.

As someone who was able to get a shiny gimmighoul from a raid, I can agree the shiny for Gholdengo isnt good at all but the fact that you can only get a shiny gimmi from Pokemon Go during its debut and the raids that were out for S/V makes this shiny pokemon one of the rarer ones like the event shiny legendaries almost.

@@dawnsbuneary if you want to know more, look up the JMC season 2 episode where they try to guess translated pokedex entries. drozees dex entry translated into: "*If you sleep with it often* it will show you the colors it ate the day before." Mikey got it right, and john made a joke about if mikey sleeps with drozee. Thus the meme began. mikey tried to counterattack by making memes about john forgetting what a sandyghast was in a later JMC (i dont remember the vid somone else probably does.) Anyway still go watch the videos!

14:14 for me it was giving Sneasel a razor claw since I thought they matched. And got confused when the item went missing. Not knowing that it holding the item was the condition to evolution. Weavile was also how I figured out the Physical Special split. I gave mine Shadow Ball since it said it was stronger than Shadow Claw. But it looked and felt weaker than Shadow Claw when Weavile used it.

7:24 Or you could always make the shiny Gholdengo platinum color, that works too. Although it's no longer more valuable than gold is, it used to be for a very long time, and color-wise it's basically just a brighter silver.
