Normal Nuzlocke Ruleset:
1. Fainting = Death
2. Can only catch one Fire Type Pokémon per Area; This includes Pokémon that evolve INTO Fire types, but does NOT include non-Fire Pokémon that evolved from Fire types!
3. Nickname Pokémon
Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
4. No items in battle (held items okay)
5. No leveling past the next gym leader/E4's ace (at the START of the battle)
6. Play on "Set" battle mode

Fun fact, being the first game to introduce mega evolutions, XY very graciously give the player a whole 6 options to try out during the main story. Before Diantha, the only mega stones you can obtain are the Kanto starter you pick, Aerodactyl, Lucario, Ampharos, Gengar and Abomasnow. So not only do you barely fight any, you dont get many either

I forgot initially that the puppet shows are only for Diantha, not the entire E4, and had a moment of being so disappointed it wasn't happening this time before realizing it was all good. I remember in your first X video where you were so nervous/apologetic about the puppet show replacing the lost footage and I'm SO DELIGHTED it's become a regular thing. You're a gem of a creator, thank you for all of your work!

X & Y were my first Pokémon games, when I was 7. I have since played all of them and completed every national dex, but X & Y (specifically Y) will always hold a very special place in my heart. Despite its flaws, I have several hundred hours in the game XD

I did a fire run of X for my first ever nuzlucke. I may have died to Grant a few times and had to reset, but it was fairly smooth sailing once I figured him out. All the Kalos fire types are some of my favorite Pokémon.
