In a subtle criticism directed at the country's first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, and the Congress, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar remarked on Thursday that India lost control over Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) due to "someone's weakness or mistake." Jaishankar made these comments during an event titled ‘Vishwabandhu Bharat’.

POK was lost due to weak congress. Aksai chin was lost because of congress. Mumbai attacks happened and congress didn't even respond.

@@byonee7742 When we had the upper hand in the war with Pakistan why did nehru go to UN and ask for a ceasefire ? This was the first time in the history that the dominating country in a war went to the UN !! Had we had 2 more days we could have captured the entire J&K. This is not circumstances but a great blunder !! All the 4 wars with Pakistan are won by India. But still 1/3rd of the area is lost to Pakistan. Coming to Mumbai attacks, why didn't congis even respond to Pakistan an an attack on famous Taj hotels ? If someone comes to your house, ransacks and kills people, will you be silent ? We are fortunate enough to have FM like Jayshankar who is unperturbed, never mincing words, doing straight talks. If we had buckled to US pressure of not buying oil from Russia, then we would have spent 3 times on all items. Thank God we have a strong diplomacy.

@@sciencespectrum3855 you are mistaken. The longest stand off was between indo-china in the history. If we were strong in the congis period why did we lose aksai chin ? Ye hein kya laal aunk dikhana ? Why was Kashmir boiling for 70 + years in terrorism ? Because of the congis weakness. Separatists were given a free hand in kashmir by congis which led to home grown terror. Congress blunders are impeccable..

It is not because of someone's weakness,but due to someone's credibility in his eagerness to listen to UNO and hence to keep peace.And his prescence in world politics brought a value to Indians.And his foreign policy is fillowed now.Now,it is easier for the current leaders to blame the past leaders when the current leaders were not even born.
