My main motivation is the extra raid passes, boosted shiny odds, and regionals. The corsola spawning off incense, and I need that shiny. Maractus shiny won't drop till Unova tour in feb, but I'm hoping the rockruff will be dusk form.

Lowkey think the big PokémonGo KZfaqrs are getting out of touch with the general public of PoGo’ers… players who are level 48-50 and grind the game as much as Daxi it makes sense to not value the shiny boost but I know the majority of my community is looking forward to that bonus the most. Maybe these videos are made for a different audience nowadays but it’s hard to constantly hear the game is dying when it’s really just players burning out imo…

I do it cause it's great making memories, each global go fest I've had a blast doing with friends. I just think they're great events

Hey daxi i just wanna say this is a great video and i truly do appreciate how much work you put in i like watching these videos as they boost my hope for these types of events this will be my second go fest and really i see hope for a good time last year global go fest i caught 54 shinies total and was absoultely mind blowing i do these types of events for the shinies and just excercise and to go out more the negative reviews do get to me but i just hope for the best so thank you for this video

undecided yet, will likely decide on the first day. already attending Go Fest NY, so there will be less value in the global pass as I will already have the Marshadow Research from NY Go Fest ticket. leaving just the money savings on raid passes and shiny boost. and the Go Fest special boxes will likely have better raid pass deals anyway.

thank you for validating my thoughts and reasons for not purchasing a ticket this year... this is from someone who has purchased tickets in recent years.

The other bonus that might make it all worth is getting immediate access to whatever dusk form you chose versus starting with cosmog and having to grind candy to evolve into whichever you chose to fuse.

Looking back to last year all the ticketed features are the exact same as last year, so not sure why we’re thinking it’s going downhill

I've brought the ticket mainly for the boosted shiny odds, the extra bonuses are great but I've made it my mission to get every shiny pokemon. I've been saving my poke coins and been constantly getting 50 from gyms for the last couple of months just to buy remote raid passes for day 2

I think it also just depends on if you’re an active player. I get on daily, pay attention to events and spawns/bonuses I’m needing or interested in as well as I still just enjoy the game. If you’re not actively playing then you probably won’t care much for this. I’ve always felt like the 15 dollars is always worth it.

If they boost shiny raids almost to comm day levels and just change the raids passes to remote raid passes they will have no problems selling tix

How does those challenges works? It seems like the results or bonuses of those challenges are going to be avaiable for everybody (raid bosses/wild spawns/special moves).

It is always worth it imo if u are able to play as you get value for money just from free passes and research rewards, granting way more than $15 worth of perks

Probably just going to buy remote raid passes. I really dont believe there's an increased shiny rate, it did nothing for me last year. 6 caught but 2 were in-between the event hours so.... Will try my luck with the free stuff. Good luck everyone.

When times are the necrozma raids at global go fest? I know it’s the 13th and 14, but don’t know what time?

I only got the ticket because of the dusk main and dawn wings Necrozma as I don't have many strong ghost and steel type attackers

also forgot to mention how go fests are kinda the only way to get unowns and if you dont buy the ticket you can forget about ever getting any of them unless you get lucky

£14.99/$15 seems slightly steep for slightly better pixels, with pretty much the exact same bonus' as last year too. Only thing that would have tempted me would be the Marshaddow research, but since I disagree with Pokemon being behind a pay wall and since it will probably come free at some point, I will probably not be buying

Interesting that some countries get much better value from the ticket than others- just did the maths & 18 "free" passes in NZ would be $21, yet the ticket costs $25. Was going to gift my nephew a ticket, but he won't play long enough both days to warrant the ticket price as he mostly raids, so I'll just get him some coins instead, I guess.

I always do terrible on GO Fest. The only time I did good was two shiny and a hundo Groudon and a shiny Heracross. But other than that my shiny luck is trash.

in my opinion, the new york city go fest was worth it, you just need to be prepared with a battery pack (to charge your phone) COLD WATER. though they have refill stations for your water bottles, and obviously, dress appropriately.

I can't believe that Niantic still hasn't told us which Pokemon to evolve to get their legacy moves during this event! Last year they let it be known early which was why I held on evolving a ton of my Pokemon who needed their legacy charge moves. Like Metagross with Meteor Mash. I am dying to know this year if we can do that again! This sucks!!!!

Remember if your goal is shinies. You can ignore almost everything except just shiny checking! Then you have a lower chance of leaving go fest disappointed

I’m thinking I’m going to buy the event for the 18 raid passes, but only use it on some of the meta relevant Pokémon during the event, and then save the rest for other raids, will the passes still be in my account after the event?

As someone that doesn’t really care about shinies, I felt like Sendai was nothing special this year. I raided a lot and had multiple problems with the game crashing, loading issues, and GPS errors (Niantic’s help bot is useless). I did over 100 Necrozma raids in two days and my highest was a 96er. On top of that, the region locked Pokémon wasn’t even useful to me. Something for PvP players would have been nice (Skiddo, Hawlucha, etc). I would have liked to have traded for some PvP Pokémon but I was too busy raiding 🤷‍♂️ These event are for shiny collectors or PoGoTubers and the like IMO. I could have saved all my money and just did the world event and most likely had the same results.
