=====(The Details/Performer's Notes)=====
This is by far the most difficult cover for me personally in 2020 thus far. I completely underestimated this piece and it took a lot more practice to get up to performance level (admittedly with a few mistakes) than I original thought. Those left hand arpeggios do not fit well in my hand, forcing me to use weird fingerings/finger crossings to navigate the passagework. If you've got big enough (wide enough) hands to fit the left hand arpeggios, then it's considerably easier (still tricky though).
The arrangement itself stays very true to the original track. I composed a new middle section to add some variety and extend the theme (Gold notes = original, Blue notes = added sections). Bonus points to whoever can guess which classical piece I quote for the transition into the B section.
The B section itself just develops 2 of the ideas presented in the original theme. I add thirds to the melody at the end to heighten the drama/tension before returning to the track proper. All in all this makes for one of the trickier covers on the channel.
I'm relieved I was able to get a recording, as I've been dreading this track for the past couple months. Could it be a bit cleaner and more controlled? Yes, but it is definitely time to move onto the next video.

0:33 probably is my favorite section of this piece! Also what you added at 0:46 I'm speechless!!! It fits so well with the piece !!!! It kinda have like this "stylized classical music" vibe (maybe I'm wrong but it's still amazing). Conclusion: it was worth the effort!

@@SafiAzizBinSalim I feel like Legends: Arceus expanded out from that "kids game" feeling. Almost every character talks about how dangerous pokemon are and even Rei/Akira (if that's their names) talks to you about how they almost died from a Shinx at the beginning of the game. Not to mention Volo's betrayal. He stayed with us the whole game, even when we got outcasted. Yet he used us as a means to get to Arceus and was aiming to straight up kill us and take the plates whether we fought back or not. Volo's fight was a fight for survival and I don't think there's many fights like that in the previous pokemon games.

It is funny, because that encounter was more memorable for me in white than the actual champion and elite four. The only two fights which had just as much gravity were N and Ghetsis and I would still take Ghetsis' hydreigon over Cynthia's Garchomp any day of the week.

In my platinum semi-nuzlocke (only first pokemon on a route, have to name all of them, if i lose a battle i lose the game, but no pokemon death, because i wouldn't be able to emotionally handle that), i made it through the entire elite 4 without losing a single pokemon, and Cynthia's garchomp comes along and sweeps 5 of the 6 pokemon on my team. The ONLY reason it didn't kill my giratina and make me lose the run instantly is because it missed its last dragon rush on giratina, allowing me to heal up the rest of my team while my beefy boi stalled for time. I'd like to think arceus was watching over me there.

You wanna know a fun fact? Both Cynthia AND her Garchomp can easily play this theme on a regular piano without breaking a sweat(or in Garchomp’s case, without breaking the keyboard itself), it’s actually cannon apparently!!!

The horror only got worse in the remakes. Perfect IVs, fully EV trained, good natures, better abilities, held items and movesets. She has a marvel scale flame orb Milotic with mirror coat. Her Garchomp has swords dance, dragon claw, earthquake and poison jab for fairy coverage, it has full speed EVs and IVs and it holds a Yache Berry to weaken ice type moves. It also has rough skin now.

The only thing me and my team consisting of torterra, krickretune, pachirisu, chatot, chimecho and lumineon set as limits during her battle was no healing items, I beat her first try with my Lumineon doing most of the damage to most of her team

No, it isn't a battle music and doesn't convey action. It's more of an introduction that leads to the main piece. Her actual battle theme suits way better. This would suit a legendary pokémon though, because it is not a heated battle, but a rng battle.

But fun fact: In my first Diamond play, I only used 3 Pokemon, only one of which was used for Cynthia. My lvl 93 Torterra(nicknamed Bumi) took an ice beam from milotic, and swept Cynthia. I was lucky with her Togekiss' air slash missing. Torterra can really get going after setting some curses. My strat was to first Curse, heal, rock slide her Togekiss, bulk tank any other hit. It was easy to set upon her spiritomb. Roserade, milotic and Togekiss were somewhat scary with high special attacks which were super effective. It took me nearly forever for that. I grinded with Torterra only, cause Torterra, to this day hapens to be one of my most favoritely well designed pokemon. Also X and Y was similar, with me only using my Greninja and Talonflame. My first proper team in X and Y almost lost to Diantha( she's a challenge when you don't turn on exp share.)

A reminder that only a single non-specialized museum in world, located in Australia, considers videogame music as "art worth of consumption," and this development was made just over a year ago. Videogames are such an underappreciated form of art, simply because it is treated as a requirement that you must actually play a game in order to experience its artistic values. You don't. Anyone can listen to this, and hear music that could easily disguise itself among classical legends.

For what it's worth, Washington DC's National Portrait Gallery had a pretty cool exhibit called "The art of Video Games" several years back. It had nearly every home console on display, along with a selection of games from each console to demonstrate a sort of "progression". There was a section that talked about the music of video games, and a demo of Flower (which dates this exhibit pretty hard). Less cool than an entire museum dedicated to the concept, but it was nice to get some acknowledgement.

Funny story, when i was younger i couldn't get past the blackout part and didn't know you had to go get the steel type badge to continue the storyline so I grinded and had a level 84 infernape before reaching the steel type gym. Cynthia was a joke in that run lmao
