Factory is the one I find myself coming back to when I just feel like playing some emerald, slowly building a strong versatile team is so fun

Hey man! I'm actually in the process of trying to get all golds in the frontier and I started with the factory since it's, imo, the most challenging just due to the random nature of it. I was able to get silver fairly easily but gold has eluded me for months. I figured I'd share some tips that I've picked up while researching this facility: There is a bonus in the factory for completing 15 swaps. Once you've completed 15 swaps on your current streak, you will be rewarded with a pokemon from the next highest "difficulty tier" when you are making your pokemon selection at the beginning of a round. If you've done at least 15 swaps, the first pokemon on the left when you're choosing your team will be from one "tier" up. This means it will have slightly better IV's and come from a slightly stronger pool. Because you have to do 15 swaps, you can only unlock this bonus by the 4th round at the earliest, so it's only useful for the gold symbol run. It pays off the most when going into round 6, because the bonus will grant you access to a round 7 pokemon which is the first tier that has perfect IV's. So if you've done 15 swaps by round 6, which is the gold symbol round, you will get a perfect IV pokemon as the first selection, which can be very useful as Gold Norman will have perfect IV pokemon. Anyways, because of this little bonus, I always try to swap after every battle in the first 2 rounds. This brings your total up to 14 going into round 3, and the selection process at the beginning of the round actually counts as a swap so just by starting round 3 you complete the 15th swap. This unlocks the bonus going into rounds 4 and on. It's a small thing but you need every advantage you can get to get a deep run in the factory haha. Oh and also, make sure you don't have a streak going at the battle TOWER when you're doing runs in the factory. Unfortunately there's a glitch where the IV's of your opponents (other than Norman), in the factory are dependent on your current streak in the battle tower. So if your streak is 0 in the tower, the NPC's will always have shit IV's which is another small advantage. I was never able to beat these guys, they require a lot of dedication

Good luck on your silver badges run! It took me almost 50 plus hrs to make a team from the emerald lot and another 20 hrs to beat silver. This was the biggest accomplishment in my Pokémon career lmaooo

I beat all the frontier Brains in emerald. It took some strategy changes. Like with using Quagsire against one of the frontier brain’s Metagross and Swampert cause it had water absorb and it had yawn so I would have the advantage. And Aggron against Brandon’s three legendary birds since they all had a disadvantage against its rock type move rock tomb. Oh and Using Flygon against Annabelle’s Raikou, it was kinda hard to beat with it having the ability pressure but with leech seed from Breloom, it was able to drain the energy. Beat all the brains sliver and gold.

Latios, Metagross and Milotic carried me through most facilities, especially Milotic with toxic, protect, recover and left overs stall for the win

Good luck in the Battle Tower! That was the hardest silver medal for me, even with an ev trained Latios, Blaziken and Milotic

Last month I won all the battle frontier gold symbols. Battle Factory was the last one.

I completed the Battle Factory Challenge myself, though I will admit I used save backups between the higher streak levels. I do plan on doing HS's Frontier without anything of the sort, though! I wish you luck in your challenge :D

You know trying to get perfect IVs in Gen 3 is bad when a prolific shiny hunter says it’s too RNG dependent.

I’m trying to do a ribbon master with my shiny regice, but I took a break after the battle tower had a double quick claw against my faster Pokémon and 3 guillotines hit in a row… I’ve never felt a game being so unwinnable in my life before. I think I was ~ battle 45.

The Battle Pike is the easiest IMO. You can use your own Pokémon and if you’re lucky, you can get to Lucy super fast without many battles.

The battle factory always gets me frustrated.

Did you use Any Frame manips to get better IV Pokémon? I’m aware most ppl do this nowadays, due to playing this factory at Random is a bit more RNG related rather skill based
