I’m not a huge fan of sawk as a Pokémon itself, but I will admit, stefan’s sawk was kinda cool and it did make ash’s krookodile look even cooler than it already was in that one battle

I wasn't a huge fan initially, but the more I looked at Stephan's Sawk in action, the more it grew on me :) Bulk Up alone just looks incredible!

Stepan's Sawk was pretty cool and it really made me like the Pokemon more. It had some great battles, was shown time and time again to be very formidable and it's fight with Leavanny was probably the best in the Unova League. Sidenote, I got quite the chuckle when you said the Audino-Sawk gave you nightmares and honestly I don't blame you, No one should be able to watch that without staying up a couple extra hours.

Sawk's cc against throh gives me chills everytime and despite it losing to Krookodile the fact Ash has to teach it aerial ace for coverage speaks volumes Amazing fighting type.

It honestly would have been better and it was a total missed opportunity for Ash's Primape to return in the sinnoh league against Darkrai, because not only is it a fighting type but it also has vital spirit which makes it so it can't fall asleep, That would have been way better insight on Ash's part as apposed to heracross knowing sleep talk

Stephan is my favorite rival of ashes from the unova saga! And I love his dynamic with his sawk he even had good interactions with ash which I love and was one of the people that stayed cool and that battle he won against Montgomery’s throh was a good win in my opinion. Again great video professor. 😁👍

Another nice video Professor. It has been a while since you made a class about a pure Fighting, Martial Art Based Pokemon. Stephan's Sawk was unexpected, and with you givinng a detail about it, made me interested to look out for other not so main character's pokemon that can be made into a video. Dawn's Togekiss or Ritchie's mons or Alain's mons can be a good one. WHat do you think? Also great special effects in the video. Loved it

As much as I do love Stephan's Sawk The one thing i didn't like about it... was the fact the Pokedex was used on it. TREE times! By Ash... The Club Battle Tournament, that's fine. Literally his (and the audience's) very first encounter with a Sawk. At the Wishing Bell Festival, he scanned it again... Ok... Probably needed a refresher on the info... Then at the Unova League... Just no. There's no reason or excuse to scan Sawk a third time, especially after watching Sawk claim the Clubsposion Championship.

I usually skip through the Pokedex parts, but you bring up a great point. I always dislike when the Pokedex is used immediately after Ash already encountered a Pokemon (like Seadra in the Orange Islands)

I’d really love to see an episode on Ash’s Infernape, it’s my favorite Pokémon on his entire team. I went through something really similar to what it had to deal with, and so I can really relate to it on a personal level

Stephan Sawk in the anime was the reason why I use sawk in black whenever I started over because it was strong in during battles and I use it in a couple of gym battles too.

Sawk was so cool, i never liked sawj a lot until i watch the anime, it was so awesome that i catch one on my BW Team. It's also cool (and somewhat sad) that Sawk, a Pokémon from a minor rival, got more wins than Ash's Boldore, Palpitoad and Unfezant

The only weakness Stephan's Sawk has is a lack of ranged attacks. Sawk if proficient in close range would potentially benefit in having a more diverse move set.

True, but many fighting-types have that issue also

@@ProfessorAlexSilver that is true, but it doesn't hurt to have at least one attack to handle flying types. Much like how Paul's Ursaring could handle Staraptor by throwing a focus blast until Staraptor came in close enough to unleash a close range attack.

Had Stephan not existed, I would disagree. But, I love his Sawk. It's one of the best rival mons.
