I think they did that to balance Ash. Cuz since greninja was released it probably have gotten much stronger than before. So if he return to Ash then Leon not gonna stand a chance i mean it overwhelmed champion of kalos Arc Pokemon when Ash and greninja just started to practice battle bond. Plus Ash also has solgaleo but they never let him use it again after Aloha. So Pokemon company is probably never gonna give Ash all of his strongest Pokemons at same time.

@@hisazuryuzen6761 even if he did i doubt he will join them. I don't think liko or Roy are even capable of using bond phenomenon. Plus it was confirmed that bond phenomenon has something to do with aura and Ash has more powerful aura then probably anyone else in Pokemon world. So ya i don't think 2 newbie trainers are gonna have aura as powerful as Ash's aura. Unless plot Armor decides to kick in.

Pokemon Horizons is good, Ash was good at battling, compassionate, although quite dumb falling for the same team rocket disguises for over 10 years. We have an "Ash" in Roy although the Mainer character is Liko, Nintendo had to make the main character a woman to appeal to multiple audiences. Also, having a not dumb, compassionate, and character with deeper personality as the main character is really amazing development on the character writing part.

I wanna hope but given how the voice actors said goodbye themselves. It’s doubtful. At most well get a cameo. if he does come back though it will be year from now.? But also. I think his journey ended in a good way. Bringing him back for an episode appearance would need to be done carefully. Ya know?

I’m so glad Trash Ketchum is gone! The anime got so stale and repetitive up until Sun and Moon were they tried to shake things up a bit and even then they couldn’t execute that well enough and made him win a joke “league” in Alola. Rest in piss Trash, you won’t be missed. 😂
