If I remember correctly, the head of the fusion gives you the Sp. Attack, Sp. Defense, and HP stats, and the body gives Attack, Defense, and Speed.

That is mostly correct. The stats are averaged between the two halves of the fusion, but it favors the specific stats that you mentioned. So a Pokemon like Venusaur, who's specially offensive and bulky, would work best as a head, while a fast physical attacker like Infernape would be best as a body.

The produced fused Pokémon does combine the two’s stats but not evenly. The Head Pokémon’s SpDef, SpAtk, and Hp are given more weight, 66% of the weighted average between the two fused Pokémon, and the Body Pokémon has more weight for the Atk, Def, and Speed, in the produced fused Pokémon. But they probably don’t care about getting this into the game and care more about having fun and rolling with it

The sprite artists in this game are utterly incredible. So many unique designs from so many different people, its really cool. Its a small representation of the greatest thing abut pokemon, its for everyone. Those artists deserve so much more praise. I absolutely love that "moment of truth" before you either burst laughing because its a silly design, or super cool lol

Ghost and normal fusions are highly OP, they only have 2 2x weaknesses. I suggest a slaking and gengar, taking gengar's skill so you dont have to worry about slaking's truant skill, therefore taking advantage of his extremely high attack and defence. Just me though!

Little tip on how the fusions stats work: depending on how you fuse them it will take 2/3 of one’s stat and 1/3 of the other and add them together. I think it works so that the Pokémon who makes up the first half of the name gives 2/3rds of of hp and the special stats and 1/3rd the others while the second half of the name gives the rest.

So the fusion only matters depending on what parts of the body is used. The Head uses Special stats and speed, the body uses physical stats and Health. So any venusaur fusion with him as the head will have the same special attack and special defense as venusaur

Gotta love the reactions to all the fusions. If you're adding some mons one of my favorites fusions is glaceon(head)+ suicune(body), really love that sprite. A small tip also for when you're done fusing is to maybe go to the move reminder guy on the 2nd floor of the pokecenter and see if it can learn some better/ different moves if you find the current ones aren't great.

The way the fusions work is it takes 2/3 of Sp Atk, Sp Def, and HP of the head while 2/3 Atk, Def, and Spd of the body then adds 1/3 from the opposites stats

You should do magmortar and lopunny (both fusions), definitely an interesting one 😄, btw you can change sprites at any time from the Pokédex, sometimes the fusion has a custom sprite but the default is the auto generated one

Late to this video so hopefully this gets seen, but here are some fusions I used that I cooked with: Aegislash/Haxorus Aegislash/Garchomp Volcarona/Alakazam Venusaur/Salamence Krookodile/Salamence (Moxie goes CRAZY) Infernape/Slaking (removes truant and keeps stats) Umbreon/Gyarados Porygon-Z/Dusknoir Also as a fyi, once you reach 777 pokemon seen in your dex, go to any hotel and sleep there ;)
