It's a testament to just how good Lauren Holiday was that when Sam mentioned a player that's no longer in the league, I immediately thought of her. Now that there's gonna be a FCKC 2.0, I'm wanting her to come out of retirement more than ever! Changed the midfield position forever!

idk...apparently someone said in an article that Sam had "fallen out of love with Nikki', and that she was just her "safe space". I don't know how credible that it though. But that is the story that's going around. Nikki is still clearly hurt by it though because she posted a tattoo of "I still love you more" on her vsco account very recently.(Right after the pics of Sam and Kristie on the field were going around.) They broke up a little bit after September 2020, so there's the timeline.
